“Well, what’s wrong with it now?” he demanded, looking really disturbed and perplexed.

“Jon,” she looked at his upset face, “now I have something else to fill the void that I had for so long.  I knew that I could never be as smart as the rest of you, but that I could give you children.  I needed a baby to feel somehow worthy of your attention and love.”

Jonathan saw the pain that he had caused her and felt deeply ashamed.  He’d had no idea that she had felt that way.

“Mel, you don't have to do anything to warrant my attention.  Just your loving me is more than I will ever deserve!”  He held her as they both got teary eyed.

“Jon,” she asked sniffling, “as soon as this band thing plays out, will you still want to make me pregnant?”

“I'll longingly await the day for you to ask me again, my love!” he stated in true earnestness.

There was a loud knock on the door.  Then everyone's eager voices called out in unison, “Let's rise and shine!”

Jonathan pulled on his jeans remembering that their new clothes were in the other room.  As he cracked the door a hand snaked its way through holding all their bags.

“Thanks!” Jonathan said as he tossed them over to Melody.

“You’re welcome,” came a masculine reply.  It was Mark’s voice.

After they showered and dressed in their outfits Jonathan topped off the look with their Goofy hats.

The hat did it, Mel burst out laughing.  They both began to feel good again.

Before Jonathan opened the door he held her to him one more time and said, “Galaxies above, but I love you woman!”

She loved his smiling eyes and honestly said, “I love you my man, my husband, my lover and my bestest friend!”  She kissed him in a way that stirred his libido once more.

“Do you see, do you just see what you do to me?”  he said laughing as he stepped back and looked down at himself.

“Come on lover boy-toy, let's have some children's fun today!” Melody ordered as she opened the door and was greeted with four grinning faces.

David exclaimed, “I told you, they were at it again!”

“We were not!”  Melody grinned back, knowing that no one was believing her.

Mark took the lead in changing the conversation when he saw Jonathan's dark blue eyes.  “We've taken the privilege of making reservations at one of the fantastic restaurants over at the Polynesian Hotel.  If we hurry and catch a quick tram we can get there in time.”

“Dad, are you and Mom ready?” David asked looking very cute in his long white shorts, blue baggy shirt and white tennis shoes and socks.

“Yep.  Let's go!”  Jonathan took Melody's arm and off they trooped, laughing and giggling as they hurried down the hallway.

They all had on similar outfits including the Goofy hats.  The ladies wore long white gauzy skirts to the men’s long white shorts.  All had sky blue tops.  As they got off the elevator they went down an escalator and arrived on the floor with all the stores.

“Where's our tickets Mark?” Jonathan asked as they got nearer the escalator that would take them back up in a different direction to the tram loading platform.

“They're one year passes so we have to get our pictures taken when we get to wherever we end up going,” Mark explained as he passed out the temporary cards for them to use.

“Will these allow us to use the transportation?” Jonathan  asked again.

“These will allow us to go anywhere we want to go.  Who wants to see The Magic Kingdom first?” Mark asked with hopeful eyes.

“I was hoping to see Epcot first,”
Elizabeth
answered quietly.

“Me too!”  Melody and Mary agreed together.

“Epcot it is then.” Jonathan forged ahead, holding his wife’s arm as she stepped up onto the narrow escalator.

As they waited for a tram to arrive they watched all the people who were there.  There were people from all nations and many foreign languages.  Jonathan began picking up bits of speech that all the men had learned just for fun back on the space ship while they were waiting for him to make his first move on Melody, here on Earth.

Their jubilant group got plenty of stares as well but no one bothered anybody else.  The men all had their hair neatly pulled back into the preverbal ponytail at their nape.  It was a hairstyle only used my those males in the Royal blood line.  The women had done the same except theirs was higher up on their heads.

They were able to get seats together and rode over to the Polynesian Hotel.

David fell in love with the outside foyer at the Polynesian while
Elizabeth
kept exclaiming about the waterfall and plantain trees growing inside the building atrium.  None but Mary and Mel were prepared for the delicious foods they were quickly served at the famous restaurant, that used to be called the Coral Isle but is renamed every few years.   Melody only calls it the Coral Isle, no matter what the current name is.

“Just wait until we eat at The Living Seas.  There's all forms of sea life in a tank that is right beside the tables.  It's huge!  And the food and service is among the best anywhere in the world,” Mary told everyone.

“When were you here last?” Mark asked, trying to look amused and inquisitive.  Everyone saw a spark of jealousy in his eyes.

“Oh, when Mel and I were sixteen, just before my family moved us away.  We came down here with a couple of boyfriends.”  Mary laughed aloud.  “The poor boys were broke after they bought our meal there.  Mel and I had to give them gas money to get us back home.”

“That was so long ago Mary,” Melody added.  “But I've never forgotten how bad it is to be poor.  We were in slacks and tank tops.  My bra strap broke from being so old and rather than having them see that it was pinned together I just took it off.  I spent the rest of the day trying to keep my arms crossed or holding things up in front of my chest,” Melody said.

“My poor little baby, being so humiliated, you weren't developed yet?” Jonathan asked sympathetically.

“Mel not developed?  She had some of the biggest in our class.  That's why she kept covering up!  Those boys were having heart attacks trying to watch her bounce.”  Mary laughed hitting at Melody's arm.  “I was so jealous of the guys giving her so much attention that I was very mean to her.  Mel, I now want to humbly beg your pardon.”  Mary smiled broadly.

“You’re forgiven.  Now let's eat!” Melody quickly answered with excessive cheerfulness.

“What did she do Mom . . . Melody?” David asked with curious eyes.

“Oh, it wasn't anything bad, I knew she was mad at me but I couldn't help it.  It's in the past, let's drop it,” Melody said getting a little irritated remembering just what Mary had done to her.

       “Mary, what was it?”
Elizabeth
asked with a curious smile.  She knew that her mom and Melody had done a lot of goofy things together and that most of them were hilarious when told.

“Okay, okay.”  Melody finally said, “I see that none of you will rest until I tell you.”

Everyone saw that Melody's face was getting red just thinking about it.

“We were in the parking lot getting into their car when Mary grabbed a package out of my hand, taking my folded up bra with it.  She acted like it was a mistake and tried to hand it back to me.  The boys fought over it tossing it back and forth over my head just so they could watch me.  Mary finally started hitting on them with those huge little fists of hers and pounded them into submission.  By that time I was in the back seat crying my eyes out.  That's the story,” Melody said sadly.  Looking at Mary's face she added, “I always loved Mary for taking on those two big boys for me.  I knew she did it on purpose but the fact that she risked a bad bruising herself to defend me made up for it.”

David said startled, “My goodness, being poor must be really horrible!”

Everyone looked at his sincere face and started laughing.

“What did I say?” he kept asking, but no one would answer.

They enjoyed a wonderful meal, laughing and enjoying one another’s company and were soon ready to have a lot more fun.

Leaving the Polynesian they took the tram to the central transportation center and walked down a long, long ramp and then back up another one to catch another tram that would take them over to Epcot.

Once at Epcot they got their photos taken and were given their cards back with the picture I.D. for all the parks and transportation uses.

“What shall we do now?” David asked looking around at all the buildings not knowing in which direction to go first.

“Let's get in line for Spaceship Earth?” Melody suggested.  They all agreed and let Mary and her lead the way.

They went fairly quickly from one exhibit to another.  Jonathan loved ‘Body Wars’ so much that he and Melody went through it twice.

The girls all loved Soarin’ so much they went three times.

As they strolled along they enjoyed the music coming from various world pavilions.  The large lake with its boats skidding over the water with it’s occupants going from one side of the lake to the other to save a lot of walking was pretty to watch.  Each family member seemed at peace as they looked at one another with smiles of contentment.

After several hours they all decided they were now getting hungry again.  Melody led them to
Mexico
and introduced them to the excellent fare there.

They were enjoying some delicious Mexican coffee she’d been praising over to them, when one man came to their table and asked very quietly if he could have her autograph.  He was so polite about it she asked the waiter to bring the man a chair.

“Why do you ask for my autograph?” Melody asked puzzled.

“You were on television last night.  You were the greatest!  I'm sorry for intruding but I couldn't just pass you by without asking.  I-I'll leave, I'm terribly sorry for disturbing you.”

He started to get up but Jonathan asked, “We weren't aware that the performance was put on television, what did they show?”

“It was on the news.  I'm sorry about the big ruckus at your house, you are Mister Jonathan Jontu aren't you?” he asked.

“Yes . . . let me introduce ourselves,” then Jonathan did all the introductions.

Extending his hand the man said, “Hi, I'm Tim Willis.  Like I was saying they showed how your property was overrun with people once the word got out about the show.  They showed short clips of different segments of your performance.  It was really a wonderful show.”

Melody picked up a glass napkin and signed it, then passed it around for all the others to add their names.

“This is fantastic!”  The man said grinning, “You're even prettier in person,” he said to Melody.  Then he got up and walked away.

“Thank you!”  Melody called out after him.

“Now where did they get pictures of the show?” Mark asked looking bewildered.

Jonathan noticed that David had an odd grin on his face.  “Dav, you wouldn't happen to know anything about this would you?” he asked him.

“After seeing just how good you all were, I guess I just went a little crazy.  Thursday I called some agents that I had heard some of the men talking about.  I invited a couple of them over to the party and told them to bring their cameras.  Being the medical celebrity that I am,” he grinned proudly, “it was no problem to get them there.”
