“Honestly this will be my first time on a plane,” Daisy leaned over to whisper. “Sorry, I lied to you about it before. I just didn’t want to seem like a scary cat.”

“Is that right? It’s cool ma. Well you can hold on to me for the entire flight.” I kissed her temporal lobe gently. “Alright?”

“How long is this flight? It’s 8:30am in the morning,” she crooned.

“Flight leaves in fifteen minutes. We’ll be there tonight at about 9pm.”

“Oh my God. I’ve gotta call my momma—“

“Tell her when you get back. That way she’ll never have to worry.” I winked my eye.

Her smile let me know she was becoming more and more comfortable with me by the second. I appreciated that. If she only knew how I was feeling about her. I just wish I knew what she was feeling. She seemed like the type of woman that could be the Bonnie to my Clyde even though I wasn’t even in the market for one at first. I was sure I would get her entire story by the end of this trip. It was fucked up that I didn’t know if I could give her the same.

“So you’ve basically answered all of my previous questions except for one. Are you going to answer that one or am I going to have to wait until you let your guard down for that one as well?” She began the conversation as the plane took off.

“McCarter. My last name is McCarter.” I looked over at her moving in slowly pressing my lips to hers.

I could feel her breathing hard as I inserted my tongue into her mouth tickling her tongue with mine. She grabbed the back of my head pulling me further into her sending the signal that she was officially into me. Her tongue felt like silk. Our saliva intertwined as she pressed her hand against my chest gently. I knew she wanted me to back down but little did she know I was never a man to ever do so. I pulled away gazing deep into her eyes. Yeah, shorty had me open but she would never know that though.

Twelve hours later we landed. We took a taxi to the La Casa Amarilla, Manuel’s private vacation home. Even though we had slept on the plane we were still tired as fuck. The beautiful ocean view and private white sandy beach killed those feelings. Manuel didn’t take me as someone who would own such a beautiful place and still have money problems. But that’s why I was here, to help him cure those issues. I checked the clock realizing his cousin would be here any minute.

“Hey baby. I’m gonna go handle that business in a few minutes. You’ll be good here by yourself right?” I asked walking in to see her checking out one of the large bathrooms.

“Yeah, I guess I can find something to do in this big beautiful house.” Daisy moved closer to me. “So what is it that you do, Quince, or is that a secret too?”

Our eyes locked. I grabbed her waist pulling her close pressing our bodies together. She was so gorgeous and so innocent. I didn’t want to do shit but protect her and always make her smile. I wanted her to be my everything forever. The shit was actually a little scary but as I placed my lips to hers, those insecurities quickly flew away. I wanted this woman more than words could say. When our skin touched it was like igniting fire for the very first time, each time.

“I’ll be back, aight?” My hand tapped her ass lightheartedly.

“Alright, baby. Good luck.” Daisy pecked my lips headed down the hall. “By the way, I’ve got dibs on the biggest room.”

I couldn’t do shit but laugh. I had a feeling she was going to pull the whole separate room thing. As bad as I wanted her, I knew I had to respect her. She was more of a woman than those other chicks I fucked with. It was hard not to recognize her as a real woman, a pearl to be cherished. Outside a horn beeped short twice. I headed towards the door picking up the large duffle bag I had taken out of my luggage and sat there.

“I know. You’re gone. Have fun,” Daisy called into the room.

“Thanks.”

His fist beat the skinny dude's face in like it was kneading dough. I was still fucked up from the long ass flight so to walk into this threw me for a loop. It was another thirty minutes to this place and I really wasn’t in the mood for this shit. Gore, Manuel’s cousin and I walked into Raul’s luxury Penthouse suite at the TOWER 360. We had obviously interrupted somebody being taught one hell of a lesson. Raul was one of those dirt rich goon niggas who grew from nothing.

At just forty years old, he was known in Colombia as the bloodiest man to ever rule the cartel. His average build six-foot stature intimidated everyone he came across. He kept a scruffy beard but his hair remained short and slicked back. Raul was known to only be seen in the finest suits money could buy and would always have them hand tailored. He even switched up his cars every few months to keep the haters guessing just in case someone tried to monitor his every move and take his throne.

If they did he would most definitely go down fighting though. Murderer was an understatement when it came to this nigga. What he did was more like a blood bath. Even if it was only one person he made sure to spill their blood in every inch of the room to show their loved ones just how ruthless he could be. It was always up close and personal on some slick and quick shit with him. That’s how he let the poor bastard know before they died that he meant business. It was always business with him even when it came down to his two year old twin girls. Raul Santiago was much like my original connect, Mata Amigos except Mata was more ruthless than Al Capone.

Gore took a seat on the long curvy leather couch in the corner of the room as I made my way up to his huge custom made mahogany wood desk. The city night lights were mesmerizing through all of the bay windows in the room. Raul had brass knuckles on his right hand like he was kneading dough in the nigga’s face on the floor in front of him.

He shouted Spanish obscenities that made everyone in the room cringe for a minute until he stopped to gaze out of the window. The nigga was beating somebody’s ass to the point of death on his marble dining room floor and yet he had all the shades pulled wide open like he didn’t give a fuck who saw.

"Ah, my soon to be protégé. I’ve been expecting you." Raul shot his gaze over to me smiling as he straightened his steel shaded Armani suit. “My cousin tells me you are the man in your city.”

“I don’t play no games. I’m your man. I can double your profits in a month,” I replied staring down at the blood on the marble floor. “Mata makes more money off me than anybody he fucks with.”

He didn’t even give a shit about fucking up the walls or floors in his own place. Spending money was something that came natural to him since he had been doing it all of his life. He first joined the cartel back when he was only ten years old. He started out as a little soldier and quickly climbed the ranks to hit man. He made a name for himself by coming up with creative ways to kill traitors and leave a long lasting message. From that his success grew and so did his fascination with the lifestyle, power, and money. The most important thing to him though, was making sure he did it with loyalty and respect as his mantra.

“Quince, I see you. You’ve been out here doing good work. I’m very proud of you,” Raul spoke, grabbing my shoulder firmly as he leaned in towards my ear. “But getting in bed with you means possibly going to war with Mata. Now as much as I like what my cousin has told me about you, why should I take a chance on going to war?”

“First of all, fucking with you I’m going to rebrand my business. Your shit is way purer than Mata’s, which will move more product. Secondly, I was told you motherfuckas ain’t scared of nobody. So what does it matter what Mata thinks?” I patted his chest to assure him then stuck my hands back in my pants pockets. “I don’t want to be a mediocre mover forever. I’m trying to live as large as you.”

“My man,” he smiled. “You remind me of myself when I used to think like that. Then I ended up starting my family and look at me. Trapped in the game.”

“Yeah well, I’m looking to make enough money to make it one day work for me. You know what I mean?”

“Oh yeah. The level side. Yeah, I feel you,” Raul spat walking back to his desk, waving his hand ordering his goons to scrape dude up off the floor and remove him from the room. He extended his hand offering me a seat. “And get my fucking money from that clown!”

“Anyway, Mata is a good man but he’s old news and it’s time to move on to bigger and better pastures,” I continued ignoring the body being dragged out the room, remaining standing.

“Yes, my friend. I understand. But as you know, this business loves no one but the money it makes,” he informed. “I’m sure my cousin filled you in on my background.”

“Indeed he has.”

I could tell Raul had trust issues. Manuel told me all about Raul because he was the type of person who liked when people he dealt with knew just who they were dealing with. I made it my business to focus on every little detail that Manuel told me about Raul. He would know that I was a man of thoroughness who kept my eye on everyone around me.

Two half naked tan skinned females with coconut derrieres and long jet black hair strolled past in nothing but high heels and thongs winking their eyes and giggling at me. They caught my eye but there was nothing there for me. For the first time in a long time, I was good. Raul had been introduced to the prostitution game early. See, his dad found his demise by a sniveling little gold digger, just five years after he was born. They had set his dad up so his right hand man could take over his empire. His dad had hoes all over Colombia in expensive high rises having none of them ever work the streets.

His dad felt that the streets got you killed. But because he was so focused on the not being in the streets, he forgot to keep a close eye on the ones he thought had his back. So when he wasn’t looking, his best friend stabbed him in the back, literally. His mom rode for him even in death, slitting the traitors’ throats from ear to ear then stood there watching as they bled out gasping for air. His mom used to tell him the story everyday before she died of a sexually transmitted disease just ten years later. Since then he vowed never to turn a blind eye to anyone.

“I’m just trying to secure the future of my future kids,” I told him playing on the fact that he was a father.

“Yeah, I hear you bro. Just know that if we ever have to go to war, we will go. No ifs, ands, or buts and we kill them motherfuckas dead. Ya understand?” He was snarling at me like an angry dog. I hated when people did that shit. It pissed me off to my core. “We don’t back down from shit if we do this. Ya understand?”

“No doubt Raul. I feel you on that shit.” I turned signaling for Gore to bring the duffle bag full of rubber band cash that I had brought with me. “And, until I’m able to go all the way legit, it’s business as usual.”

“Aye,” Raul called out while the cleaning crew stepped in dropping to their hands and knees to clean the bloody mess on the floor. “I respect you, son. I respect you so much that…I support your decision. Whenever you’re ready to get out, just give me three months in advance notice and we’re good.”

“That’s your word?” I asked staring deep into his eyes searching for any sign of bullshit.

“I respect you. I don’t say that about a lot of people. I don’t say that much at all. But I respect you. If that’s what you need and you can handle it, then it’s all good with me. But you only get one chance, son. If you have to come back, you can never leave again,” he grinned. “So make sure when you come to me with that, that you’re really ready.”

We shook up and he hawked me dead in the eyes. It was weird him calling me son but I ran with it. He stuck his hands deep in his pockets and choked his chin up as if to say he was glad to be doing business with me. I could tell he liked to speak words with his gestures as if the other person knew sign language, but I didn’t and I didn’t feel like interpreting his shit right then either. Like any man, he was never good with words. I understood. Neither was I, so I just said whatever the fuck came to my head and if that shit came out wrong then fuck it. At least he knew where I was coming from.

"I can handle it."

"Hmm." Raul massaged his chin slowly staring out the window at the smog covered, rat infested yet beautiful city. "Don't disappoint me, Mr. McCarter."

Either he didn't have faith that I could remain prosperous with my businesses or he was trying to scare me into remaining in business with him. Either way I didn't give a fuck. What he was sleeping on was the fact that I knew this business like the back of my hand and had it down packed since I was sixteen. All I had to do was show him that I could build a conglomerate much bigger than Wal-Mart. With the cheaper prices Raul offered, I would be able to stack more money and move more weight. It was about to go down.

“So my cousin, Isabel, will move the weight for you on her airline. You will never see the weight until you hit the states. She will already be equipped with it and she will tell you where to pick it up," he said keeping his eyes fixated out the window. “Don’t worry, you can trust her. She’ll use four of her colleagues each carrying twenty five kilos. They are requesting $5000 each. You will pay them when you land.”

"Got it.” I turned heading back towards the door.

"Welcome to my side of the business, Mr. McCarter," he popped his fingers twice, "Do me a favor eh?”

“What’s that?”

“Don’t fuck me.”

I headed out the door with Gore following right behind me. On the ride back, my thoughts shifted back to the big booty, hourglass waist beauty waiting on me back at the villa. I thought about all of the beautiful things I would be able to provide for her and all of the children she would be able to bear for me. My thoughts immediately shifted into billionaire mode and I wanted it all. Before tonight I was a man hustling to survive. In the morning, I will officially be a businessman building an unforgettable future. I was ready for it all.

Chapter 8

Daisy

The warm sun beat mildly against my skin but the humid air wasn’t as friendly. It had to be a scorching one hundred plus degrees blowing through the window. At night, Santa Marta was beautiful but during the day it looked like an amazing paradise. I hopped out the bed gazing out the window at the beautiful scenery. There were newly bloomed flowers that were healthy and exquisite in color, an ocean current lightly moved against the sea, and the sky was as clear as glass. It was the perfect backdrop to an already romantic trip.

But where the fuck was he? I expected him to slip in my room last night to at least get a good snuggle in with me. I so sleepy last night that I didn’t even hear him come through the door. An intoxicating aroma of food filled my nose as I slipped on the blue terry cloth robe hanging on the closet door. Eagerly I made my way across the wooden floor out the room towards the smell. Turning the corner, I focused on Quince slaving away over a steaming hot stove trying to cook breakfast.

“Morning beautiful.” His smile was the perfect sunrise.

“Good morning. I thought I was here by myself for a minute there,” I chuckled taking a seat in the stool at the island of the kitchen. “Where were you last night?”

Immediately he shut down. I didn’t want to ruin this wondrous trip by bombarding him with questions so I decided to keep it light from here on out. He was obviously a man of many secrets but if he wanted to get to know me he would have to give a little as well. I wouldn’t force him though. He would need to up the information willingly in order to gain my trust. Meanwhile, I’d play the same game if he wanted.

“So he cooks,” I marveled, switching the subject. “I’m impressed.”

“Yeah, I do a little something sometimes.” He sat a plate of scrambled cheese eggs, well-done T-bone steak, and chopped strawberries in front of me. “I hope you don’t mind. I thought we’d kick this trip off right with a small drink. I made you some berry sangria. I’m having vodka and tonic.”

“Wow. Sangria at breakfast? How can a girl resist?” I chuckled before stuffing my face with the most delectable piece of steak I had ever tasted in my life. “Mmm. Now that’s good eating. I know I don’t need to be eating this, big as I am—“

“You’re perfect.” He didn’t even crack a smile as he interrupted me. “Never forget that.”

“Thanks,” I blushed. “So what do you want to do today?”

“We’re flying back at 7pm. tonight. But I thought maybe we could just chill and enjoy each other’s company while we’re here.” He cut a piece of his steak stuffing it in his mouth. “You blow?”

“Excuse me?” I damn near choked on my cheese eggs.

“Blow. Do you smoke?”

“Oh okay. Well no I’ve never done it but I guess I’ll try almost anything at least once.” I shrugged.

“Is that a fact?” He looked up at me before placing his empty plate in the sink.

“Yeah, I mean you only live once right? Besides, we are on vacation even if it is short lived.” For a minute, I felt myself feeling freer than I ever had before.

I stuffed the last tasty morsel in my mouth and sipped casually on my drink so as not to seem like a lush head. I could probably drink this nigga under the table with any type of liquor. Choke that up to my drunken college days. Yet in front of him I would act like a lady so he didn’t think I was some random party girl. Before I could pick up my plate, Quince had already moved towards me taking it to place in the sink.

“Thanks,” I muttered wishing I had my toothbrush with me. “I’m just gonna go freshen up a bit. I’ll be right back.”

“Yeah, while you’re doing that why don’t you take those boxes over there in the room with you.” Quince pointed to the five stacked boxes sitting over on the wooden coffee table.

“Huh? What is this Quince?”

“Just gone and take them in the room. Don’t open them until you get there,” he instructed.

Confused and curious, I hoisted up the boxes and did what was asked of me. Once in the room, I sat the long boxes down on the bed pulling the bright yellow ribbon unraveling the bow that held them all together. Ripping the tops off and roaming my fingers through the papers inside them, I pulled out a skimpy two piece black bikini, a red lace teddy that felt like imported silk, and two dresses one pink and one lavender that were similar to mine but the fabric felt like it was of a better quality. There was also a couple of pairs of lace thongs with matching bras. Opening the last two boxes my eyes bucked wide open. Inside was a pair of gold strappy Giuseppe Zanotti heels and a pair of pink Louboutins.

Looking at the clothes, I wondered how this nigga knew what size to get for me. My biggest fear was trying on all of this shit and not being able to fit any of it. It all looked to small for my full-bodied frame but it was all so beautiful that I was determined to squeeze my big ass up in them. Sliding on each of the shoes, they fit like gloves. So did the clothes. Even the bras fit perfectly.

Elation bled across my face as I jumped in the shower with the quickness. Hurriedly, I lathered up good with the newly wrapped soap I opened that was sitting on the sink next to a brand new tooth brush, toothpaste, and lotion that smelled as wonderful as fresh morning dew.

Once I was done cleansing myself to precision, I slipped on the bikini checking out how good I actually looked in it in the mirrored closet door. Slipping on the Giuseppe’s and allowing my wet curly hair to flow naturally, I looked as if I had just stepped off the set of a rap video. My smile beamed from ear to ear as I stepped out of the room back into the living room finding it empty. Turning to the kitchen it was empty as well.

“Quince,” I called casually.

“I’m out here.” A puff of smoke appeared from the side of the wall outside on the charmingly large deck overlooking the private beach before I stepped out. “This shit beautiful ain’t it?”

“Breathtaking,” I replied as he handed me the blunt.

“Hit it slow. You know you’ve got virgin lungs and shit.”

“Ha. That’s what she said,” I joked as we laughed together.

“Naw, for real though. Take it easy,” Quince informed as he finally looked over at me noticing my attire. “Oh shit shorty. Damn you bangin’!”

“Awe, thanks…for everything. The trip, the clothes, just thank you for it all. It’s truly amazing.” Quickly feeling the effects of the blunt, I could no longer hide my happiness.

In all of twenty four hours, this man had shown me something no other man had been able to show me. I didn’t know much about him but what I did know drew me to him so hard that I daydreamed of what our wedding could look like if it came to that. I didn’t know what the future held for us or even if we would be together as a couple after this. One thing was certain though. Embry would be drop dead jealous once she caught wind of all the pictures I took with my cell.

“Come with me,” Quince took my hand as he finished the last of the blunt flicking it away with two fingers.

“I feel like I’m in a fairy tale. I swear, I reveled taking a deep breath, closing my eyes then opening them as I looked up into the stunning clear blue sky.

“That’s what I like to hear.” Quince turned to me wrapping his brawny hands around my waist as our feet lingered carelessly in the water’s edge allowing the coolness of the bubbly ocean to soak them.

Then his soft full lips touched mine once more. It was gentle, but captivating, a mixture of sweet root beer and salty ocean water. Our tongues wrestled together time after time, transporting us to another world. Ragged breathing and dancing tongues bring a fiery heat to the cool ocean breeze. With just the two of us there, the rest of the world disappeared.

Desire ignited the realm around us as we became lost in a sea of lust and love. It was a spicy, powerful combination that sent waves of passion crashing over us. The rest of the world is engulfed in our lustful burning flames, as our kisses grow more urgent; rushes. Quince wrapped his hands around my ass cuffing it under the crease squeezing firmly. Our bodies pressed together so tightly as I enfolded my hands around his head, I could feel his manhood surge against me. He kept it under control though.

As our lips pulled apart, a gentle breeze fluttered over the flame extinguishing the desperate heat between us. Our breathing came out in short, desperate gasps. The intensity washed away. The rest of the world slowly came back into focus and all that lingered was the timeless seduction of infatuation. It wasn’t love, not so soon. I knew that.

Yet, this man had me gone in the head taking my breath away in one day. I was slowly craving nothing but his touch, his breath, and his presence. I could think of nothing but him and what it would be like to be the main chick on his arm. And, that was one thing I was concerned with. What would it be like once we got back home and could his playa ways be retired so soon, enough for him to be with one woman and one woman only?

Chapter 9

Quince

Two Days Later

His hand slapped the shit out of her cheek. I could see the red bruise forming on it from all the way by my car. I walked up grabbing his hand pushing him away like the bitch ass nigga that he was. Helping her to her feet, she dusted the rocks and dirt from her bare legs and stood with one shoe on searching the ground for her other one.

“Thanks, Q. Guess I had no business out here dressing like this huh?” Bunny said trying to prevent the tears from falling from her eyes.

“Naw, fuck that pussy ass nigga. He had no business putting his hands on you.” I found her shoe handing it to her. “That’s your nigga?”

“Yeah, that’s my old man. When he gets drunk he comes up here and takes it out on me cause he don’t want me working here dressed like this.” She pointed to her plaid bikini. “He thinks I’m up here fucking every man I see because of the money I bring home. But he sure don't complain when he spending it though."

One of my eyebrows lifted since I knew how she got down, especially with her sucking me off for paper every now and then. Still, that didn’t give the nigga stumbling off back to his car the right to hit her. If a female was going to ho herself to get the money while her nigga sat at home and collected the dough, he had no right to be mad when she was providing for his ass. His job is to shut the fuck up and collect the dough. That’s it. She wasn’t a bad chick. Bunny was just caught up in a rough situation she could easily get up out of.

“Aye, what would you say if I told you I had a way for you to become a boss bitch and never have to deal with niggas like that again?” I asked her as she slipped her shoe on before raising her big dark eyes up to mine.

“What did you have in mind?”

“You’d never have to degrade yourself again for another dollar. That’s what I had in mind.”

“Well put me on to the shit. I’m down,” Bunny said as she wiped her tears and followed me to the old factory building across the street from Creed that I owned.

“But you have to promise me one thing though.”

“Anything, Q.”

“Stop fucking with that whack ass nigga. I don’t know how you gonna do it but if you want to be your own boss and live the life you’ve always dreamed, that nigga’s gotta go.” I wiped the single tear falling from her eye. “You feel me?”

“I got you, Q. I’m done with that nigga tonight,” Bunny agreed.

We made it there and the door swung open with one of my goons posted anticipating my arrival. Inside there was about ten motherfuckas all seated under the few spotlights hanging from the ceiling. I stood in front of the crowd like I was about to make the grandest speech known to man. Well it would be the best one of their lives anyway. Bunny walked over to me planting a sweet kiss on my cheek. Her ass switched from right to left as she headed over to take a seat next to Montana.

I wasn’t dressed in regular clothes like I usually was. I was no longer a regular street nigga. In order to be the head of a business, I had to start dressing for the position I wanted, not the position I used to hold. So tonight my all black well fitted Gucci suit made its debut. I had a thing for the brand. The Gucci shoes I had bought months ago made their debut as well. I kept it simple with an all black matching tie and plain white button down. I was clean if I did say so myself. The changes that were about to come no one would be ready for.

“Ladies and gentlemen. I’ve called you all here tonight to let you know that everything you know about the game is about to change. Now with this change will always come consequences. So if your ass is scary, you can leave now and keep making that scary ass chump change you motherfuckas been making. But if you want to get paid, I mean really get paid, then listen up.” I interlocked my hands placing them in front of me awaiting any objections.
