He turned slowly and looked at his brother, who stood at the doorway, his arms crossed and one leg over the other.

It was evident that Aidan was rock hard, the bulge pressing against his jeans.

Gia sat up and crossed her arms over her breasts, Liam’s hard cock still inside her. How long had he stood there watching them? Was this really possible, twice in one night? She glared at Aidan.

He was smiling almost painfully, his eyes laced with desire.

Gia turned back to Liam frowning in confusion.

Liam was—what was he? He seemed to be dismissive. A sated smile spread across his face, his eyes crinkled in delight. He looked as if this was normal, his brother standing there and watching them.

“Liam?” Gia whispered, moving slowly off of him. She stood up quickly, moving her dress to cover herself. Her mind was spinning from the mixture of interrupted bliss and the soft ache in her heart when she looked at Aidan. She felt almost as guilty as she had when Liam had been the one to walk in on them. She was also just as confused by Liam’s casual acceptance of his brother watching them. Shouldn’t he be angry at Aidan for just standing there? Was this a sibling thing? With none of her own, she wasn’t sure how it worked. She stood frozen, waiting for a reaction, anything.

Liam got to his feet then pulled his underwear and pants on, remaining shirtless.

Aidan walked into the library, closing the door behind him. He headed for the decanted vodka before carefully retrieving three glasses. He purposefully poured each a third full. Glasses in hand, he walked over then handed one to his brother.

Gia stood entranced, watching the impossible calmness of the brothers.

Aidan strode toward her, offering the other glass, and she accepted it in a daze.

“Thanks,” she whispered idly, then gulped the drink down in one shot, wincing before she looked back to brothers.

Liam continued watching her. He grinned, and an oddly triumphant shadow glittered in the depths of his eyes.

Her eyes widened, and she shook her head and found herself buckling in hysterical confusion. She quickly placed the glass on the table, grinning though she was far from amused. “I am so far down the rabbit hole.” She snorted. “Liam, can you talk to me and tell me what exactly is going on?”

Liam walked over to her and rubbed his hand on her cheek.

Aidan followed.

She stared into Liam’s eyes then brushed his hand away. The room seemed darker, the smell of hot sex in the air. She felt two inches tall while she looked at the dark pair. Irrevocably identical. Both shirtless, both dark pairs of eyes watching her intently.

Her gaze darted between them, and she battled to control the drumming of her heart. “I’ve been played, haven’t I?” she stammered, and the last of her control slipped away as tears pooled in her eyes.

In a flash, Liam and Aidan were at her sides, and two sets of warm hands stroked her tears away.

She looked up into their silent blazing eyes. She sensed a warmth tinged with concern. But to hell with their concern. She was now a bona fide twin sex toy. How poetic. First no sex for two years, and then when she did get her groove on, it was the worst-case scenario she could never imagine. She wiped the unwelcome tears away and steeled herself. “Was this a game from the beginning?”

Liam and Aidan’s lack of response said plenty, but still she gave them a second more as she waited with bated breath, and clenched fists. Finally she couldn’t take it anymore. She tilted her head back to look at her puppeteers. “Tell me now, dammit! What the fuck is going on? Oh forget it!” she screamed, and before either could stop her, she grabbed her bag from the table, not bothering to get her shoes, and she stormed out of the library.

The hallway blurred around her, and she wiped the tears now falling rampantly, and ran toward the front door and out into the darkened, damp night. In minutes she was in her car and gone.

Chapter

“I told you she wasn’t ready.” Aidan stood at the windows, watching the last glimpse of Gia’s white car as it sped down the driveway. He found himself battling the crazy desire to run after her. He could almost hear the screech of her tires on the gravel. When he was sure she was at the gate, he turned and slowly nodded at Liam.

Liam took the signal and quickly pressed the button on the control phone, opening the gate for her exit before replacing the receiver.

Aidan stood facing his brother, his jaw tensed with anger. His stomach ached mercilessly with a sense of loss. He bent down, retrieving each of Gia’s gold, red-soled heels off the floor, holding both in his hands.

Liam gulped his drink loudly, his brow creasing when he faced his brother. “And I told you that she will be.”

Aidan placed the shoes carefully on the side of the couch. As much as he had hoped she would be back to claim them, something about the look in her eyes told him it wouldn’t be soon. “No, Liam, you blew it. I think we gave her too much, too soon. We should have waited, given it a few more days, weeks even. She’s not the one-nighter sort of woman. She’s special, and you blew it.” Aidan walked over, facing his brother, his hands on his hips and his eyes narrowed, mirroring his twin’s. “Your celibacy seems to have clouded your judgment. Because of you, we’ve missed about ten steps in getting her comfortable with both of us. You found her, and we agreed.” Aidan looked down, shaking his head, then up again, meeting his brother’s dark stare.

Though Liam’s was fixed over his shoulder.

Aidan moved his hand up to Liam’s arm, tugging so he would face him. “This obviously wasn’t your first time with her. She didn’t say as much, but she didn’t have to. You fucked her before this.” He shoved Liam’s bare arm, feeling the muscle tense. “Idiot, you should have waited. She was worth it. Would it have killed you to get to know her first? Lunch, dinner, working slowly toward breakfast? Now she’ll think the Wright brothers messed with her. Fuck, Liam!”

Liam sighed and edged toward the window, turned, then stared out of it. “Look, she’s angry now, but she’ll come around.”

Aidan headed toward the couch and sat down, focusing on what they would need to do to get her back. What he would need to do, to make sure that they both did. But a nagging incertitude taunted him. “What if she doesn’t? We’ve waited so long for her, and now she’s gone.” Aidan leaned back and closed his eyes, his hands crisscrossed at his neck. The same familiar fragrance in the bed was still on the couch. Her fragrance. He winced and inhaled deeply. There was something about her. Against all his reservations about actresses, he had to admit, Liam was right. She was special. Again, his body ached for her, even if he’d only had her once. She was a piece of deliciously dark heaven. His cock was, once again, rock hard.

Liam turned, and cocked one eyebrow knowingly at his brother’s erection. “It’s not like you abstained when you found her lying on the couch, did you?”

Aidan’s eyes shot open, and he threw a scorching glare at Liam. “Well, what were you thinking having her wait for you on the couch with no panties on? How could I bear to walk away? Now she’s gone. When did you fuck her anyway?”

Liam shrugged. “I told her to wait for me. How she ended up waiting in that position is beyond me. My first time with her, by the way, was this afternoon, when we had lunch.”

Aidan cocked his eyebrow menacingly. “And you neglected to tell me? I specifically remember you texting that you were bringing her to the house. I’m sure I would’ve remembered if it included dessert. Then again, I should have known, I felt it the moment you fucked her.”

“As I felt it when you did the same thing you’re judging me for. Come on, Aidan. Does it honestly matter? Your saw the heat come off her. No sane man could be close to her and not want to fuck her. I think we both know this is more than just sex. So much more. This time is different, we both feel it. It’s not you or me, it’s both of us.”

Aidan nodded, knowing exactly what his brother meant. His mind flew to the first time he’d fallen for a woman, the first time he’d lost his virginity and the first time he’d got his heart broken. His every reaction to the life-changing events was always mirrored in Liam’s face the moment he saw him. Their emotions were so closely linked, it was impossible to feel anything without the other feeling it, too. He glanced at Liam. Hell, in his brother’s face, he could see what he felt, reflected right back at him. Worry. Worry that they’d possibly lost the one woman that could finally complete them. His chest tightened at the thought. “How is it possible to feel this much for her so quickly? Doesn’t that scare you just a little? She’s perfect, but this, this I sure can’t explain. Can you?”

Liam shook his head, saying nothing, so Aidan continued. “I know it’s more than lust. There’s this crazy chemistry, or intensity, whatever you want to call it.” He shook his head slowly.

“I know,” Liam sighed. “Fuck, I can’t stop thinking about her since we saw that photo of her all those months ago. Since we decided to find one woman to share. Shit—”

Aidan watched the flitter of his own emotions reflected on Liam’s face. And even before he spoke, Aidan knew what he was going to say.

Liam took a deep breath. “She’s the one. Gia Carelli is it.”

Aidan nodded, echoing his brother’s words in his mind.
She is definitely the one.

Liam held his hand out, resting it on Aidan’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, brother. We’ll get her back. Let me call her to see if she got home all right.”

Gia was laying face down on her goose down pillow, wet from the tedious flow of her frustrated tears, and she screamed into it. It was almost four a.m. and still sleep evaded her. Her room was completely darkened, with only a sliver of light piercing through a slight opening in her cream-lined organza curtains. She could hear a distant chirping of birds outside, ready to herald dawn, and she moaned.

She had an eight a.m. call time and would look like crap from the lack of sleep. All she could see were Liam and Aidan’s faces, staring at her with a sick look of something she couldn’t name. Whatever it was, it irritated the hell out of her. She had never felt so utterly humiliated in all her life. She had fallen in the worst possible way, rendering her nothing more than an empty-headed starlet sleeping with not one, but two of the studio heads. Well, Aidan wasn’t technically the studio head. She wasn’t sure what he did, but she knew he had some ownership though Liam operated at the helm. Their dark eyes penetrated through her thoughts, taunting her further.

When she’d arrived home, her phone had vibrated incessantly for what seemed like hours. Every ten minutes, then every five. She ignored it, knowing it was probably Liam or Aidan. She didn’t know and didn’t care. But for lack of sleep and high-voltage irritation, frustration, and anger, she quickly bolted off the bed.

She reached for her bedside lamp, clicking it on before walking toward her maple wood dressing table. She dug into her bag, retrieving her cell phone. Nine missed calls and two text messages. She clicked into the first text message.

Please call me when you get this. L

Sighing, she deleted it and clicked to the next one.

Gia please call us.

She flinched at the plural “us.” This last message was sent less than an hour ago. Again she clicked

and tossed the phone across the room, hearing the soft thud when it landed on the plush cream carpet somewhere alongside the bed. She shook her head slowly, her eyes focused on her rumpled white duvet on the queen-size bed. She stood naked, having come home and taken a shower. She wanted to wash away the bittersweet memory of her night. How she had even consented to any of it was something she couldn’t forgive herself for. How she had enjoyed every minute of it, absolutely deplorable. One was bad, but two men in one day, three times, injurious at best. She walked forward and plunked herself on top of the fluffy duvet, stomach down.

Suddenly there was a loud buzz. It reverberated against the walls and quiet of the small house. With her room door opened, the buzzer echoed from the living room, down the narrow hallway, and smack into her ears. She had chosen her Spanish-style home in West Toluca mainly because it was a quiet enclave, free of the plethora of mansions, perfect for privacy. She had thankfully been spared the glare of paparazzi at her door, unlike her fellow actors in the nearby hills. However it didn’t stop a few new ones from trying their luck.
