“I hate her,” she yelled.

Calvin could see why. “My God that is awful. What about the father, couldn’t you tell him?” he asked as his stomach ached in despair.

She shook her head from side to side. “No.”

“Why?”

“My mum wouldn’t allow me. She said no one would be interested in a slapper like me who spreads her legs wide open and allows any man in to explore. I tried to tell her it was my first time, but she wouldn’t listen, called me every name, and said no one would wish to take me and a baby on, and not only that, but I had a life, I received the best education and it would destroy my father,” she ranted.

“Bloody hell, no wonder you want nothing to do with her. It is all beginning to make sense to me. You’re the one with the grudge and your mum is simply protecting the family name. She should be ashamed of herself, if you ask me.” Mortified he had heard such terrible news. Kacey sobbed. He leaned forward, taking her into his chest to offer her the clear comfort she had been wanting for many years.

She woke up having bad heartburn and indigestion betting it was all the rich food she ate last night. It had been a while since she enjoyed such an evening, although it killed her inner guts that she told Calvin the truth about what happened when she’d been sixteen. Kacey had no idea what he would do with the information or if he even cared. Yes, she hated her mum, resented her more than anything in the world. It broke her heart, the outcome, and no matter what Calvin did with the news she would remain strong and try and push it to the back of her mind, she had to as the past was the past. After all these years she’d finally shared it with someone.

Kacey felt better for sharing her story and hoped it would now ease her heart and allow her to move on, even though she longed to have her belongings back, some holding sentimental value.

She stretched and pushed her tummy out as far as she could, still unsure why she hadn’t felt her daughter move since the previous night. Anxious, but wondered if she was being a little paranoid, after all she’d been through quite a bit in the last few days, and sensed there was still more to come, however, with Ross and Calvin helping her, she felt relieved.

Kacey stood from the comfy bed and grabbed a towel close by on the chair where she’d chucked her clothes off last night due to getting too hot.

She strolled out the bedroom, to waddle to the kitchen, she filled the kettle to make a decent cup of tea, yawning and feeling a little stiff. She noticed the snacks were still out from last night.
Typical man, can never put anything away or tidy up.
She giggled
.

“Morning.” A male voice sounded from behind. Surprised, aware it could only be one man in the cottage. Slowly but surely, holding the towel close between her cleavage she turned around and saw Calvin popping his head up from the sofa.

“Hi,” he said, extending his arm and waving to her while he added a yawn.

“Morning, hi.” She was shocked to even find him still at the cottage.

“How you feeling?” he asked.

She watched intently as he stood, wearing the same T-shirt as last night and made his way around the sofa stretching his arms and body and adding a few upper body wiggles, betting he was stiff.

Kacey turned around to continue making the cup of tea now turned into two.

“I will tidy up shortly,” he said.

She reached in the cupboard to get a second mug out to make him a brew.

“I’m fine and okay,” she replied.

“Sorry, I bet you never planned on seeing me first thing this morning?” Calvin said.

“No, no I didn’t.” Kacey turned around to see him stripping off his T-shirt revealing his, fine, splendid abs with chest hair, slim, V-shape leading to his groin and then she saw the… Kacey shot her eyes open and quickly turned around using her hand to blindfold her. She could not believe what she had just seen.

“Could you do something about that,” she said, referring to his erection.

“Darn. Sorry. Crap. Sorry I will…” he shrieked, horrified.

She could hear him shuffling along the floor. She turned her head slightly to see him heading for the bedroom. His hands securely covered his genitals and his cheeks a shade of red. Kacey giggled and turned her head away laughing to herself. She shook her head and bit her lower lip, however, enjoying body structure, only to be horrified in seeing his…

. Gutted, if she hadn’t been heavily pregnant she might have taken advantage of him. Quickly, Kacey pushed that thought out of her mind, not needing to picture him naked and making love to her. Thoughts dismissed.

A few minutes later with the tea made she contemplated making breakfast. She turned around and leaned against the cupboards when Calvin appeared.

He lifted his brows, seeing his rosy cheeks he was clearly very embarrassed from the earlier event. He came out wearing his jog pants he had loaned her yesterday. He quickly scooted to recover his T-shirt from the couch and quickly put it on to hide his body. Kacey couldn’t help but stand and watch him, admiring his fine features while she had the chance.

“Sorry about that, I feel pretty stupid now.”

“It’s okay. How come you stayed last night?”

Calvin walked nearer to her, trying to dismiss the recent occurrence, although hard not to picture. He stood close to the left side making her heart skip beats. Leaving her feeling nervous, wishing he would move away.

“Fell asleep. I hardly slept the night before and well, I guess it caught up with me. I enjoyed last night though.”

She tried her hardest not to look at him.

“Yes it was nice,” she said, not wishing to give him the wrong impression.

“I am sorry about asking you about your past,” he said softly.

“It’s fine…very hard though,” she answered, rubbing her hand against her swollen tummy thinking back on all those years ago.

“I understand it must have been a very difficult time for you. When you rely on support from the most important people in your life and they let you down. Did your father know?”

“I don’t think so. My mum sneaked me away.” Kacey turned her head to glance at him seeing him frowning.

“That is terrible.”

“Protecting the family reputation. What would you have done?” she asked curiously.

“Not sure, but not carted you to the clinic, well, unless that was what you had wished. I don’t wish to make you feel any worse.”

“Oh trust me, that is nothing compared to the guilt I carried for all these years, there isn’t a day goes by I don’t think about what happened and how I would’ve changed everything.”

“You mustn’t blame yourself.”

“Why not?” she snarled.

“You were young, and your mum should have known better.”

“I hate her.”

“I always say hate is a strong word, but for once I have to agree with you. Anyway, let’s talk about what we should do today,” he said taking his tea and making his way to the sofa.

Kacey would admit she liked him, but he lived in London. There was something remarkable about him that made her heart skip beats and her knees turn to jelly. The fact he appeared so understanding about her past, made him incredible.

“What about a drive to the Yorkshire Dales?” he asked, turning and adding an irresistible smile.

“Wow, that would be lovely, I’ve not been there in years,” she said, heightening her voice excited.

“Then that is what we shall do. I only have today left as I leave to go back to London tomorrow afternoon,” he told her.

Her heart sank into her stomach. Quickly Kacey turned around, a large lump dominating her throat, feeling sick, chest tightening, she wasn’t ready to lose him yet, after all, he’d been the only person to show care. She inhaled a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

“We could go and get some breakfast too, dinner and tea, I don’t mind, it’s something I would enjoy,” he continued to say behind her.

“Lovely,” she said, feeling a stinging sensation taking over her internal organs. She took a sip of her hot tea, trying to force the lump in her throat down.

“Right! Is it okay if I go and grab a quick shower?”

“Sure.”
There is no way I am turning around to look at you and allow you to see my disappointment. What the hell will happen to me when you’ve gone? How will I cope without having his kindness around me? Can I not just keep him for a few extra days?

Kacey waited a few minutes before spinning around and found Calvin gone and no doubt already stripping off his clothes. She let out a large breath, struggling to think clear. Calvin felt like a severe addiction and one she wouldn’t forget in a hurry. She turned to stare at the bedroom door, no doubt him already naked in the shower, having the water cascading over his delicious body. She put her hand over her mouth, appalled to be thinking such a way, endeavouring not to have the image in her mind.

Nevertheless, all she could see was Calvin standing under the shower and the water dancing over his fine features. Closing her eyes feeling terribly sick, longing to touch, feel, and have him wrapped around her tight the way he held her last night. How she resented the fact her nostrils were bunged up, preventing her from inhaling his wonderful aroma.

“Stop it! Stop it! Stop it now for goodness sake,” she berated needing to shake off those silly thoughts.

Kacey walked to the bedroom, unsure if it was safe to enter. She stood, gawping at the door debating whether to wait for him to come out or not. The bathroom was separate from the bedroom and surely, as much as she craved to see him, she wouldn’t. She decided to enter the room to get dressed.

Only, when walking inside the room she crashed into Calvin. His towel dropped and so did hers. They both stood gormlessly staring into one another’s eyes mortified.

“Jeez, I am so sorry,” Calvin muttered and quickly bent over and she caught the sight of his naked bottom. Her eyes shot wide-open. Then, Kacey used her hands to cover her large breasts and her womanhood. Calvin wrapped the towel around his waist, holding it tight and turned his body around facing the opposite way, using his hand to blindfold his eyes.

“Bloody hell, I am so sorry,” he said while she watched him taking side steps to reach the bedroom door. A large lump formed in her mouth, shocked, unable to take her eyes of him, holding his head low, keeping his eyes covered at all times. Once he reached the door he dashed out of the room, and he was gone. Kacey stood astonished at what had just happened.

“I’m so sorry, Kacey,” he voiced sincerely.

She felt lightheaded, stunned, not believing the morning she was having with him, especially after seeing his fine chest and his full blown erection, although, hidden in his shorts, but didn’t leave much at guessing the size and soon followed the episode in the bedroom.

“It’s okay, don’t worry,” she said picking the towel up from the floor and saw her clothes on the farm chair in the far corner.

“Would you mind passing me my clothes on the bed?” she heard him say.

“Sure.” Speedily she gathered his clothes together, opened the door, and passed them to him, keeping her eyes and body out of view.

“Thank you,” he said.

She closed the door and spent a few second collecting her thoughts. She debated if going out with him would be such a great idea. Then again, they would be wearing clothes and have no reason to take them off.

Once she had freshened up and dressed, she opened the bedroom door and saw Calvin dressed and sipping on his drink. God he was mouth-watering, he looked and smelled clean, fresh, his spicy fragrance filled the room and his gelled hair made him look so appealing.

“Ready?” she asked, not wishing to make an issue of earlier events.

“Of course,” he said, and they both made their way to the car.

Calvin was extremely embarrassed about the many incidents they had earlier. He wasn’t awake enough to realize his manhood had been fully erect due to needing a pee, and then what followed in the bedroom. He guessed he required to be locked up, rather than sharing a day with her. He wondered if it was possible that he could stop his antics and behave himself, although she appeared to have had a bad effect on him.

On the drive to the Yorkshire Dales they listened to his phone. A song he had heard many times, enjoyed, found relaxing and warm played,
Return To Innocence
by Enigma.

He listened intently to the words, finding them pure and defining in every way, true to life, without redemption, and be who you want to be, without fear. Only life had cruel ways of throwing things at you. He never dreamed for one minute that when visiting his parents he would end up looking after a terrified woman, who had lost everything, and scared of her future.

He lived a good quality of life, no exceptions and got on with what he wished to do without worries. Yet, Kacey she had lived each and every day on the edge since leaving home. He could not understand how her mum could make her do something she had not wished too, and now Kacey lived with the consequences of that decision. He was no fool and knew people lived differently to him, but Kacey’s story broke his heart. How she’d managed to live and move on with her life must have been gruelling.
