“I suppose I just don’t like to think of us going away.”

“I know.” I looked into his eyes and kissed him again. “But we have to, and we have to just move on, forget about this, and find a way to still be friends.”

He nodded.

The results were in, and everyone seemed happy. We all got into our first choices. Ashley, Kathryn, and I were on a high. We went for a celebratory drink at the local pub over the road from school. It was an unusual place for a pub, and we had been sneaking in since fifth year. We bought a bottle of wine and toasted each other’s achievements, laughing and joking.

“To amazing friends,” Kathryn said lifting her glass.

“Best friends forever,” Ashley said.

“Forever.” I grinned, chinking with them.

A few people from school came in and went as we sat there, nursing a glass of wine each so as not to ruin the day by peaking too soon. We eventually ordered diet cokes and planned our day. We sat in a booth next to the entrance where we could see people coming in and going to the bar, but we were hidden enough not be seen if required. After an hour Kyle, David, and Vinnie wandered in, made their way to the bar and ordered a pint each. They stood at the bar and Kyle leaned on it arrogantly throughout. To watch him from here I saw what I always had for many years before now, he was stunningly attractive but he just gave off an aura of indifference. He stood with his friends but it was as if he didn’t care to be there at all and the way he acted seemed to make people want to spend time with him more. It was crazy.

We sat for another half an hour and chatted, I kept casting my eye on the bar as did Ashley, but mostly we kept ourselves in check for Kathryn’s sake. As we were about to leave, two of our teachers came in, they were known as the young attractive teachers, both single and straight out of university, Mr Jones and Mr McCafferty. They strode to the bar and patted the boys on the back, shaking hands and ordering themselves a drink. We stood to leave just as Mr Jones, the English teacher, turned away from the bar.

“Kathryn Mills!” Mr Jones shouted pint in hand. “Get over here, my best student is trying to sneak out of the pub.”

Kathryn dipped her head, embarrassed, and walked over to him. I looked up to see Kyle’s eyes blaze into mine, and Vinnie waved us over.

“Hi Mr Jones,” she said shyly.

“An A.” He threw his free arm around her shoulder and gave her a squeeze, “Congratulations. All the hard work paid off.”

She fiddled with her bag nervously. “Thank you.”

“How’d you two do?” he asked politely, looking at Ashley and me.

“All good.” Ashley grinned, “Got into our first choices.”

“Good, good.” He nodded. “You three shooting off, or can I buy you a drink to celebrate?” He grinned. Kathryn looked to us and Ashley nodded.

“Okay, Mr Jones, just one then we’re going out for lunch.”

“Oh please, call me Paul, now. You’re not students any more.”

“I’ll get them,” Kyle said from behind Mr Jones, gruffly. “Sophie.” He nodded to me and motioned for me to join him at the bar with a backwards tilt of his head.

I shook my head, slightly annoyed at his commanding head nod and marched to where he stood. He turned to the bar when I got there.

“That bloke is a total sleaze,” he said under his breath.

“He is not. He just wants to congratulate us.”

“Whatever,” he shook his head, “just keep your eyes open, he’s practically undressing Kathryn with his eyes.”

“Please.” I laughed.

“What you all want?” he asked as the bar tender approached.

“Three diet cokes.”

“Oh come on,” he turned his head to me with a slight smile, “the sleaze said celebrate, let’s show him how to do it.”

“Okay.” I smirked. “Three dry white wines.”

“A bottle of white wine,” he told the bar tender.

“Dry, three glasses!” I shouted as the bar tender walked away.

An hour later, we were all chatting around a table outside, six students and two teachers. Mr McCafferty, or Rob, as he had told us to call him, gave me a couple of cigarettes, and Kyle wanted to order another bottle of wine.

“Kyle, we can’t get pissed,” Ashley said, “we need to have our nails done and get ready for tonight.”

“Sod the nails,” Kyle said with a cheeky grin, “let’s just get pissed and then go back to ours for a quick change and then town. Leave your car here. We can get taxis.”

“Yeah,” Vinnie agreed, “let’s get wrecked.”

“These three will hamper our pulling, everyone’ll think we’re couples,” David whined.

“Rubbish,” Kyle laughed, “no one would believe one of these girls would touch you with a barge pole.” We all burst out laughing.

We eventually ordered some lunch at the pub and more drinks. I texted Mum to tell her what was happening, and she offered to pick us up later with Mick so we could all go home and get changed before tonight.

“Let’s move on to The Dunes,” David announced a little later, referring to another pub down the road. “It’s near mine, and I can get changed and then come back with you two.” He nodded to Kyle. “Hang out while you get changed.”

Kyle looked at me, and I recognised that look, his eyes sizzled with lust and I knew he was hoping to get me alone whilst I was getting changed, especially after a few drinks. It was probably for the best though as I wasn’t sure we could be quiet after such a raucous afternoon.

“Okay,” I said, standing up, “I’ll just pop to the loo.” I got up and made my way inside, a little unsteady, but I would sober up once the lunch took effect. I made it to the toilets, the pub was empty because it was a Thursday afternoon, and most people were at work or more sensible than to get drunk in the middle of the day. I almost got to the toilet when a hand grabbed me from behind and pulled me back. I felt Kyle against my back instantly, everything about him drew me in, his smell, the way I felt moulded into him, and his breathing was deep and heavy.

“God, Soph,” he groaned, “You look so fucking sexy today.”

“You’re drunk.” I laughed as he pulled my behind further into him and his growing erection. “Get in the cubicle,” he said harshly.

I moved forward and he followed close behind, we made it into a cubicle, and I spun around just in time as his mouth overpowered mine.

“Kyle,” I said between breaths, “we can’t be long, they’ll all know … and what if someone comes in,” I gasped between kisses.

“Better make it quick then,” he growled.

He kissed me hard on the mouth, pulling my face to his with his hands. I kissed him back crazily and tried my best to be as quiet as I could. He ran his hands down my sides and then stopped at the entrance to my jeans, which he unzipped, pushing them down slightly. I groaned as his hand made its way inside and rubbed me gently. “Oh my God,” I whispered, as he snaked his fingers underneath my pants.

I reached for his belt and undid it, then unbuttoned his jeans, which promptly fell to the ground. I took his length in my hands and ran my hand up and down, feeling how turned on he was. He spun me around, and I placed my hands on the top of the toilet, he leaned me over and eased my jeans and underwear down further.

“You ready for me?” he whispered in my ear.

“Hmmmm,” I said, pushing back into him.

He positioned himself behind me and grabbed my hips as he thrust inside me. I stifled my moans as he pounded into me. It was such a high having crazy, wild sex in this bathroom in the middle of the day. After a couple of wines, I wanted to scream his name as loud as I could manage but had to stifle it. He whispered my name and leaned forward kissing the back of my neck where my hair had fallen to the side and exposed it. I felt my body overtaking my mind as he fucked me from behind. I was so turned on that I almost couldn’t stand it any more as my orgasm washed over me. I bit my lip as I contracted around him, and he stilled slightly, pulling me to him deep and slow. After a few moments he sped up again and took his release hard and fast.

Our breathing slowed, and I stood up with my back to him. “Shit,” he said, “no condom.”

“It’s Okay,” I whispered. “I’m on the pill.”

He didn’t say anything, just kissed my head and then left me in the cubicle. I sat down, deep breathing in shock about what we’d just done. I couldn’t wipe the grin off my face and couldn’t believe how amazing and dangerous it was, we could have been caught at any minute. I took deep breaths and made my way out to the sink, expecting to be alone, but Kyle stood waiting for me.

“What are you doing? Go back, people will be suspicious.”

He grinned and cocked his head to the side. “You are one dirty girl, Sophie King.”

I grinned back and shook my head. “That was all you.”

He stepped towards me and pulled me to him. “You are amazing, you know that, every guy’s fantasy come true.”

“Shut up,” I said, embarrassed. “Go back, I’ll be there in a minute.”

“Okay.” he kissed my head, “I …” He looked down into my eyes, “You’re mine, Okay Soph?”

“Okay.” I kissed him and pushed him away at the same time. “Go.”

He walked to the door and then looked back at me, I could see he was half cut already and laughed as he sloped out of the door. I splashed my face with cold water and reapplied my lip-gloss, desperately trying to get the “just fucked” look off my face.

“Sophie.” Ashley barrelled into the ladies room. “What the fuck are you doing in here? Have you got the runs or something?”

“No.” I looked to her, and she immediately narrowed her eyes.

“What the hell have you two been up to?”

“Nothing.” I shook my head with a grin.

“You are one crazy loved up fool.”

“Love?” I said, widening my eyes. “It’s just a bit of fun.”

“Oh yeah.” She nodded, walking to one of the cubicles. “Until someone falls in love, and that dopey idiot that I just passed leaving the toilets looked pretty loved up to me.”

“Aw shut up,” I said. “You don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Okay.” she said, shaking her head. “See you outside.”

We walked to the next pub without our former teachers, which was five minutes away. David draped his arm over my shoulder and chattered nonsense to me whist Kyle walked quietly on my other side. Vinnie was already holding Ashley’s hand, and Kathryn spoke on her mobile phone to one of her chemistry friends. At the next pub we drank vodka and coke so as to not be too wrecked for the night ahead. David left for half an hour to walk home and get ready. When he returned at five, Mum and Mick arrived in two cars to take us home. Ashley, Kathryn, and I went with Mum, Kyle and his friends went with Mick. We dropped the girls off; they were going to come to mine once ready and I ran upstairs when we got back. Mum had left me a congratulatory card and present on my bed for when I got back. I opened the card and then some gorgeous diamond earrings. I hugged them to me, and she appeared at my bedroom door.

“Thank you,” I said excitedly, giving her a hug. “I love them.”

“You’re welcome,” she smiled, “you’ve made me proud, Soph, you always do.” I hugged her tightly and my smile faded slightly as I wondered how proud she would be if she knew who I really was. Would she still be so proud if she knew that I was sleeping with Kyle? Would she be so proud if she knew that I had just shagged him in a toilet cubicle? I had to wonder if she really knew the daughter that she was so proud of anymore, as I certainly didn’t feel like the same girl. I still wanted the same things I used to and still delivered for her and dad, but more recently, I had started to wonder if I also wanted to keep Kyle.
