I rolled him onto his back and straddled his hips, planting my hands on either side of his head. “I’m not mocking anything. I admire your culture. Seriously, I think it’s great. I’ve enjoyed learning about it from your parents. Why do you think I keep asking all those questions?”

Micah groaned and shifted underneath me. “Honey, if you actually expect me to engage in conversation right now, you’ve got to stop wiggling around on top of my dick. ’Cause at this moment, the only thing I can think about is doing my level best to prove biology wrong and breed you.”

I clenched my ass reflexively in response to his comment. Being fucked sounded so good right then. Time to change the topic and test out my recently improved dirty talk skills. “Oh, yeah?” I dipped my head and blew hot air against his neck and ear. “You wanna bury your hard cock inside me and fill me up with your seed?”

He flipped me over and ground his dick against me. “You make me nuts. Completely fuckin’ nuts. Do you have any idea how good you look in your suit at temple? Or what you do to my stomach when I see you holding my niece? I’ve spent most of my waking hours on this trip holding myself back from molesting you in front of my family.”

“Well, your family’s not here now. Time to step up to the plate and show me what you’ve got.”

Micah grinned and then leaned over to get the lube out of the bag we kept next to the bed. We had learned early on in our stay to be careful about what we left out because Deborah made a habit of going into the guest room to clean and change the sheets. I thought I was going to die when we walked in after an afternoon of shopping and found the bottle of lube on top of a coaster and our underwear washed and folded on the bed.

We were both too worked up for a lot of foreplay, so Micah’s slick finger was circling my rosebud and pressing into my channel right away. His mouth met mine for another kiss, and I let my knees drop open, enjoying the feeling of him playing with my body. One finger turned into two, and then he corkscrewed and scissored them inside me.

“Nnnn. ’S good,” I moaned before licking his lips and teasing out his tongue.

“You ready for me, honey?” he asked huskily.

“Uh-huh.”

He settled between my knees and draped my legs over his shoulders, holding them in place with his forearm as he lined his slicked cock up with my hole. One firm push and his hard dick was inside, stretching me to my limit and making me cry out his name in pleasure. Micah kept his strokes steady, rubbing his cockhead over my gland as he pushed in and then circling his hips before pulling back out again.

I looked at his wiry body kneeling between my thighs, holding onto my knees as he bent me in half and pounded into me. A sheen of sweat covered his face and chest, the veins in his neck bulged, and he grunted every time he bottomed out. Damn, was he ever sexy.

When it looked like he was close to finishing, I reached for my cock.

“Don’t,” he rasped as he shook his head. “That’s mine and I have plans for it.”

I dropped my arm and let him drive, enjoying his body warmth and tightening my muscles around his dick on every out-stroke.

“Fuck, that feels good. I’m almost there, Ben. Gonna fill you up.” His rhythm changed, the pushes coming faster and getting harder before he held himself deep inside and stiffened. “Yes, yes, yes!”

I could feel his cock pulsing inside me, and I almost whimpered in frustration, wanting so much to join him in ecstasy. It only took a few moments before he let out a deep breath and pulled his softening dick out of my ass. He lowered my legs and bent down, licking my dick from base to tip before taking it into his mouth and sucking hard while he rolled my balls in his hand.

“Yeah, Micah. Like that.” Just when I could feel my orgasm pooling at the base of my spine, he popped off my dick. “No, don’t stop,” I whined. “Wanna cum so bad, Micah.”

“Don’t worry, honey, I won’t leave you hanging.” I felt his finger dip into my crease and circle my hole, making me tremble. “You sore?”

“Just a little. I like it, though. Please, Micah.” I didn’t care how desperate I sounded.

He kissed my inner thigh, then my balls, and then I felt his hands clasp my cheeks and pull them open, leaving my freshly fucked opening completely exposed. Before I could think about what he was doing, Micah’s tongue was there, lapping at the puckered skin, rimming my hole and then darting inside.

“Oh my God! What are you doing?”

He pulled his tongue out of my body and took a long swipe up my valley. “Tasting myself inside of you.”

I whimpered and almost came right then. Micah lowered his face and got back to his task, working my ass over with his mouth, licking me, swiping that wet muscle inside me, and generally driving me insane. My brain was overwhelmed with pleasure as I started rocking my hips, humping his face and begging for more.

Micah gave me exactly what I needed, not stopping, not slowing, just eating me out with unmatched fervor. Then he took my dick into his hand and gave it a few strokes and I was biting my fist to keep from shouting out loud enough to wake his parents as a killer orgasm racked my body.

“Aww, geez, that was incredible, Micah,” I gasped out. “I can’t believe you did that.”

I looked down and saw him gazing at me while he brought his hand to his mouth and licked my release off his palm before stretching his fingers out and running his tongue on the webbing of cum between them, trying to get every last drop.

“You’re the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen, and I’m pretty sure you’re going to kill me,” I said.

He stretched his body on top of mine and smiled down at me. “You’re not allowed to die, honey. We’re going to make babies together, remember?”

“Right now, I’m not sure I remember my own name.”

“Benjamin. Isaac. Forman.” He placed a kiss on my lips after each word. “The love of my life.”

I chuckled. “Do you have any idea how cheesy you are?”

He shrugged. “Hey, great sex will do that. Melts my body and scrambles my brain.”

Well, I couldn’t argue with that logic. The sex was great. Come to think of it, other than the situation with my parents, my entire life was pretty great.

Chapter Twenty-Five

next year flew by, despite being very busy. Micah stayed true to his word and managed to ratchet his schedule down to something in the range of normal. And even though he gave his mother a hard time about nagging us and claimed to have never considered having children of his own, he did endless research about surrogacy and took the lead in working out the paperwork.

For some reason, he got it into his head that we had to have a baby before he turned forty. Don’t ask me where he came up with the idea or how it made any sort of sense, but I wasn’t going to argue with him. I was ready for us to expand our little family.

Sarah and Gabe came out to Emile City when it was time to harvest the eggs. They brought both kids and made a vacation out of it. We all had a great time.

Being pumped up on hormones hadn’t been easy for Sarah, so we made her spa appointments and let her relax while Micah, Gabe, and I took the kids out on the town. Turned out we had a children’s museum in Emile City that had a range of activities wide enough to keep both Adina and Isaiah entertained. The science museum was another favorite for Isaiah, and I spent most of my time finding ways to keep Adina occupied. And when all else failed, we hit the park and spent an afternoon swinging and sliding. Micah and I considered it a snapshot of our future, and we liked what we saw.

Even the trip to the clinic was fun. Well, it was fun for Micah and me, but according to Sarah, the egg harvesting experience wasn’t as enjoyable as the method we used to remove my portion of the donation. It was so enjoyable, in fact, that I refused to feel embarrassed about the knowing grins we got from the nurses when we came out of the little room after filling the plastic jar.

But none of that held a candle to how happy we were a few weeks later when we got a call telling us the pregnancy test was positive. We were nine months away from being fathers.

I managed not to worry as much about my parents because everything else in my life was going so well. But my relationship with them continued to be strained. They refused to acknowledge Micah, which meant that if I wanted to see them, I had to go to their house. I had a lot going on, not that I could tell them about any of it, so I didn’t see them often. And when I did, it was still incredibly frustrating, still disappointing, and still made my heart hurt a little. But I kept trying, even though I had reached a point where I no longer believed anything would ever change between us.

of the things that had been taking up my time since Micah and I had returned from that trip to visit his family was meeting with Rabbi Seth. I didn’t want Micah to know about it, so I had scheduled our meetings during the workday, and I had been surprisingly successful in keeping him in the dark. My man really had incredible focus while he was working, which I found to be a major turn-on.

“I was hoping we could stay in tonight and rent a movie or something, but Seth’s been all over me the last few days about coming to temple,” Micah said as we drove home from work on a Friday evening. I curled my lips in to hold down my knowing grin. “I don’t know what his damage is all of a sudden, ’cause he’s not usually pushy. But it probably has been too long since I’ve been, so I agreed.”

“It’s no problem,” I said, making sure to keep my voice even. “I’ll come with you.”

He swung his head toward me. “Really? You want to come to temple?”

I shrugged nonchalantly. “Sure, could be fun.”

were trembling a bit with nerves as I got dressed, but mostly I was excited. Micah introduced me to a few people when we got there, and then we found Eli, who gave me a tight hug and leaned in close as he whispered, “Glad to have you as a member of the tribe.”

It felt like time jumped after that, and suddenly Seth was doing the Torah reading. I straightened my tie and waited my turn.

“Ben Forman, would you please join me on the bima?” Seth said.

Micah’s eyes widened, and he grabbed my hand. “What’s going on?”

I raised our joined hands to my mouth and kissed his. Then I let go and joined Seth in front of the congregation.

“Many of you know Micah Trains, but you might not know his partner, Ben Forman. Last fall, Ben called me and said he wanted to learn more about Judaism. When I asked him why, he said that he’d spent the high holidays with Micah’s family and he’d enjoyed the ritual and the sense of community he’d experienced, so he wanted to learn more about his partner’s heritage.”

I looked over at Micah, wanting to see his reaction. His eyes were wide, his face a little flushed. I refocused on Rabbi Seth.

“So we met a few times, I recommended some books, and then, a few weeks later, I got another call from Ben. This time he said he wanted to convert. I turned him away at first, but Ben was persistent. So the third time he asked, I raised the same question. Why? Ben explained that he and Micah were going to start a family and he wanted to help pass down our culture and beliefs to their children. And since they were one family, Ben felt it was important for him to share in those things, which meant becoming Jewish. So I agreed. And after a year of meetings and lessons, tonight, I’m thrilled to welcome Ben into our community.”

Another quick glance at Micah showed me how deeply this was affecting him. His eyes were wet with unshed tears, and he had the most beautiful smile on his face. Then our gazes met and his lips moved, miming the words, “I love you.”

I knew that, of course. I could tell from every look and every touch. And I felt the same way about him.

of the unexpected things about having children is how much gear is involved. And by the way, the plural on that was intentional—
children
. As in twins. A boy and a girl. “Excited” didn’t even begin to cover how Micah and I felt when we sat in the ultrasound room and heard that news.

Our friend Caleb was a designer, and he volunteered to help us decorate the babies’ room. I was actually surprised at how much modern baby furniture he was able to find. It fit perfectly in our house. So before we knew it, we had high chairs that looked a little like space pods, one in green and one in orange. We had espresso-stained cribs in a room painted a bright yellow color with a blue, cloudy mural on the ceiling. We had drawers overflowing with tiny too-cute-for-words clothing and soft blankets. And both of our cars had baby seats installed in the back.

Supply-wise we were totally ready to go, but that didn’t stop me from being a nervous wreck the day we went to the hospital. Micah called his parents and sister to tell them Raphael and Lilah had finally arrived. And I called Noah and Clark to let them know they were uncles.

“Congratulations, Ben. I’m happy for you, man, really happy for you. We’ll come by the hospital to meet our niece and nephew tonight. Send me a text and let me know what you want to eat, and we’ll bring you and Micah dinner.”
