Corbin grabbed Lillian by the hand and they ran out of the room. As soon as they reached their sitting room they realized the club was empty but the music was still playing. Corbin grabbed Lillian and shoved her behind him. Lillian didn’t know why he did that until she heard a female laughing. She knew it was Marie. Marie was so powerful that not only did she mask herself; she masked Brandon and twenty other vampires as well. Lillian had never been so scared in her entire life and she knew that Marie sensed her fear. Corbin hissed at Marie and before he knew what happed, Lillian was lifted into the air and was now in front of Marie. Marie grabbed Lillian by her throat and said “Corbin, my dear little brother, your pathetic life for hers!” Lillian looked to her right and she saw the triplets. There were ten vampires ripping them apart, and to her left she saw what was left of the twins. She tried to open her mouth to scream but Marie gripped her throat even tighter.

“Marie, do not hurt her! Okay, I will not fight you, but you let her go now!”

Marie laughed and dropped Lillian to the ground. Lillian got to her feet and tried to run, but Brandon grabbed her and held her. Brandon was stronger than her and Lillian knew why, he had fed off of Marie, she knew that they had exchanged blood just as Corbin and she had done the night before. Lillian was now full of rage and fought as hard as she could. She clawed Brandon’s flesh from his face, but as soon as she did it healed. There was no stopping them, but Lillian did not give up, she continued to hit and claw his face and Brandon just laughed at her. Corbin was now standing in front of Marie, and as if on cue, the music that was playing in the club stopped.

“After all this time we are finally face to face little one.”

“Marie, let her go.”

“Oh so I see you will wait for her, sacrifice your life for hers, but yet you left me to rot!”

“We thought my Master’s blood killed you. If we knew that you were just in a deep slumber you would have been with us from that moment on!”

“You don’t get it Corbin! He knew that I was alive; he knew that the disease he attempted to cure me from had taken its toll on my brain. He locked me away to rot because he didn’t have the heart to kill me. He had his successor, you!”

Marie’s blood red lips spread into the most maniacal and sinister smile that Lillian had ever seen and she knew what was about to happen. She and Corbin’s dreams were not exactly like what was happening but the similarities were very close. Without hesitation, Marie rammed her hand inside Corbin’s rib cage, and when she removed it, she held his still beating heart in her hands. Corbin dropped to his knees and looked over at Lillian. The last words that had escaped lips were “I love you Lillian” and he fell face first on the floor. Marie laughed and ate Corbin’s heart. Lillian began to scream as loud as she could and all of the other vampires, except Marie and Brandon, dropped to their knees and blood was now pouring out of their ears. Marie glared at Brandon and ordered him to kill Lillian before they all died. Brandon looked at Lillian and said “With pleasure my queen” and began to squeeze. Lillian didn’t care, her coven was destroyed and she wanted to join them. She closed her eyes tight and waited for her death.

BEEP!  BEEP!  BEE!  BEEP!

Lillian opened her eyes and sat straight up in her bed. She turned her head and looked out of her window as the first snow of winter began to fall. Her heart was beating in her chest so fast she thought that it was going to explode. She looked over at her alarm, sighed and plopped back down in her bed. She heard a knocked on her door telling her she needed to get ready for her first day of school. Lillian grunted, got out of bed and got ready for school.

She waked into her first class and she almost dropped to her knees when she walked in the door. There were the triplets from her dream! They looked exactly Annabelle, Angelic and Alicia; there were the twins, Dagan and Damien as well. She tried her best not to look too obvious as she made her way to her seat. She sat her books on her desk and looked over at the window. What she saw almost made her cry! There was Brandon and Corbin talking as if they were old friends, seems in reality they were. Brandon noticed her looking and pointed it out to Corbin who looked at her and smiled. Her eyes were wide open and she quickly looked back at her books, pretending to look inside them. The bell rang and the teacher walked in the room. Lillian looked up and almost died in her seat, it was Marie.

“Okay guys take your seats. You know if you are not in your seat I will mark you as late. So seems we have a few new students in the class. Let me see, Annabelle, Angelic and Alicia Marks, Damien and Dagan Corney, Corbin Page, Brandon Nichols and Lillian Montgomery. Being that you are new to my class I will go over a few basic rules. This is my class and I call the shots. I don’t care where you came from and how it was back home. This is here and now. So with that being said take out your literature books and open to page three hundred and forty five. Today we will be reading Bram Stoker’s Dracula.”

Lillian smiled and opened her book. As her teacher began to read she felt a tap on her shoulder, and a folded up piece of paper was handed to her. She grabbed it and opened it and smiled as she read:

Hey, seems we are all new here in this class. Why don’t you meet us after school so we can hang out and grab some pizza? By the way I think you are very pretty.

Corbin

Lillian looked over and saw Corbin staring at her and smiling. Lillian smiled back and nodded her head yes that she would. Lillian turned back and began to follow along with the story that her teacher was reading aloud. Seems moving out here to Indiana was not so bad after all. The bell rang and Lillian was the last to leave the classroom. When she walked down the steps, there they all were, waiting for her. She fell right in and they all began to talk as if they had been friends for years. The twins were flirting with Angelic and Alicia, Brandon had his arm wrapped around Annabelle and Lillian and Corbin were walking behind them all talking as well. They walked in the pizza shop and ordered a large cheese pie and eight cherry cokes. This was too surreal for Lillian but she enjoyed every minute of it. On the way home Corbin asked for her number and she gladly gave it to him. He walked her home and before she walked up her driveway he kissed her on her cheek and ran off to catch up with the guys.

Lillian walked inside her house with a huge smile on her face. Her mother saw her and asked how was her first day at school, to which she replied, “It was the best day of my life.”
