“No,” I whispered, shaking my head. “I understand completely.

Because I felt the same way. I was so scared of what my mom would think, that she would hate me. But I was willing to take that risk, because I wanted to be with you. And I knew, somehow, that everything would work out, if I just got to be with you.”

Wesley kissed me and pulled my hand to his lap. I felt him stiffen and I looked up at him and shook my head.

“I can’t help it,” he said. “When you talk that way, it makes me hard.”

His kisses became longer and deeper and I lay back as he unzipped my shorts. His mouth was warm and soft and my legs trembled with his movements. I came and he swallowed, running his thumb across his lips.

I leaned down and kissed him, then led him to the bedroom. Fortunately, I hadn’t changed the sheets yet and I knew that I would have to do at least one load of laundry each day.

“We should’ve bought a sperm towel,” Wesley said, pulling me close. “Then we wouldn’t have to change the sheets so often.” I knew exactly what he was talking about. Every teenage boy has one. I agreed with blushing cheeks and noted that I would go out and buy one tomorrow. “Heh, I forgot to put one in the laundry for a couple weeks once, and that thing was so hard and crusty…. It was disgusting.” I reconsidered and figured I should buy two or three. “There were a lot of potential babies in that thing,” he mused with a grin.

I rolled my eyes and climbed atop his stomach. “One more time?” I asked, leaning down, inches from his lips.

“How could I say no? But remember, I gotta go to work tomorrow.”

WESLEY left for work at seven, leaving me with a kiss and an “I love you.” I slept until eight, then got up and took a shower. I had to work ten to five so I made a cold pasta salad for lunch. I put enough for my dinner into a plastic tub and then thought Wesley might like some for lunch too.

I packed another plastic container and put the rest in the fridge.

I went to Gus’s Auto Shop. It was a small building with a lot of cars in the parking lot in various stages of repair. I opened the door and a bell jingled. An older man with a large beer belly sat behind the counter.

He was wearing a navy outfit with “Gus” embroidered on the left breast pocket. He had gray-streaked hair combed over a shiny, bald head and crooked teeth set in a warm, friendly smile.

“Hi. Is, um, Wesley here?”

“Yeah, hang on a sec,” he answered, leaning back on his chair and looking through a panel of glass to his left. “Wes! Come up here!”

Wesley’s head popped up from behind a car and he walked to the front, wiping his hands on a pinkish-red rag. He smiled when he saw me.

“Hey. What are you doing here?”

“Hi. Um, I made some pasta salad for lunch and I thought you might like some too,” I said, glancing at the large man behind the counter. I bit my lip; it felt like we were newlyweds and I was delivering my husband’s lunch.

“Oh! So, this must be the princess then?” the man asked, looking up at me then to Wesley who was slicing at his throat with his fingers and shaking his head.

“Ah, um…yeah,” Wesley answered with a crooked grin. “Gus, this is Toren. Toren, this is my boss, Gus,” he said, smiling and scratching the back of his head.

“Hey, it’s nice to finally meet you. Wes’s told me all about you. I can finally put a face with the name,” he said, standing up behind the counter.

I smiled and nodded and extended my hand. “It’s nice to meet you too.”

“So, can I take my lunch now?” Wesley asked.

Gus nodded, but I interrupted. “I actually have to go to work now,”

I said, wishing I had given myself enough time to eat with Wesley.

“Aww. All right, fine. You work ’til five, right?” he asked as I took the plastic container of salad from the plastic bag on my arm. I nodded and handed him the tub and a fork. “This looks great! Thanks so much!

I’ll see you later, okay?”

Wesley stepped toward me and I backed up. I wasn’t sure if he wanted a kiss, but I decided against it. I was honestly surprised by Gus’s amicability toward us; he didn’t look like the open-minded type. But that was unfair of me to stereotype him too. I smiled again at Gus and bowed my head slightly.

“It was very nice meeting you,” I said and Wesley walked past, pulling me along with him.

“I’ll be back in a sec,” Wesley said, grinning at Gus over his shoulder.

Outside, Wesley pushed me against the building. He kissed me, then patted the top of my head and looked around. When he looked at me again, he had a devilish smirk on his lips.

“What?” I asked, knowing that look all too well.

“C’mon, the bathroom’s around back,” Wesley said, taking my hand and pulling me along.

“What? No! Wesley!” I protested, stopping and pulling my hand away. I narrowed my eyes at him and shook my head. “I can’t believe you sometimes.”

“Aw, c’mon. Real quick, please?”

I folded my arms across my chest and shook my head. “You’re the horniest bastard I know….”

Wesley laughed and smiled. “All right, all right. I had to try.”

“No, you didn’t,” I said, finally laughing. “I gotta go, so I’ll see you later.”

“Okay. But you gotta kiss me.”

I pecked his cheek and ran from his reach. I stuck my tongue out at him and Wesley laughed. “See ya!” I shouted and walked to work.

I WAS excited to tell Jeanine that I moved in with Wesley. She seemed as excited as I was and congratulated me. We walked around the store, deciding how we would decorate the apartment if we had a limitless budget. There were some decorations that I really liked and I decided to save up my money for them. Our apartment was so plain and I wanted to give it some life, even if it was only one piece at a time.

The store was pretty slow, so I was able to leave right at five. Then I remembered that I had to fill out a change-of-address form, so I left around ten after. When I got home, I put some chicken and potatoes in the oven and sat down to watch TV.

“Honey, I’m home!” Wesley shouted with a giant smile on his face.

I laughed and met him at the front door. He kissed me and I smiled, leading the way back to the kitchen. “I almost couldn’t wait to go to work just so I could come home and say that,” he said, washing his hands at the kitchen sink.

“You’re so silly. How was work? Did you have a good day?” I asked, emptying a can of corn into the small saucepot.

“Yeah, it was all right. I’m glad I don’t usually work Mondays though. We were busy as hell,” he answered, opening the refrigerator and stooping to look inside. “Oh, thanks for the pasta salad for lunch! It was great!”

“Good, I’m glad. And, dinner’ll be ready in about fifteen minutes.”

“Cool. I’m starving. What are you making?” Wesley opened a can of soda and placed his hand on my back.

“Just chicken and baked potatoes.” Wesley leaned in and kissed me, then went to the living room.

“I was glad you came up to work today. I’m glad you met Gus,” he said, flipping channels.

“Me too. He seemed really nice.”

“He’s a really great guy. I used to bug him all the time when I was a kid. He has all those great old cars on the lot and he let me get my hands dirty with some of them. He taught me everything I know. Hell, he helped me bring my Mustang back to life. I bought it off of him for a hundred bucks, so basically, he gave it to me. He’s always sorta been…like a dad to me. When I told him about you, he was surprised, but he said that if I was happy, then he was happy. It really meant a lot to me, for him to just accept it like that.” Wesley stared into his lap, pensive and serious. Then he looked up at me and laughed.

“It means a lot to me too,” I said, handing him a plate. “But, didn’t I tell you not to call me ‘princess’?” I said, sitting next to him on the sofa. Wesley smiled goofily and I shook my head.

We ate dinner on the sofa and watched TV. Wesley took my plate and did the dishes, leaving the casserole dish in the sink to soak. We watched TV and talked and I reminded him that I had orientation for school on Wednesday.

“Do you want me to go with you? I might be able to go in late to work,” Wesley asked, resting his hand on the sofa behind my head.

“No, that’s okay. My mom’s going with me. Thanks though.” I pushed my head back against his hand. “Oh yeah, my mom is coming back for dinner too.”

“Okay, cool.” He seemed genuinely happy that Mom was visiting and the pit of my stomach felt warm. Wesley stood up and patted my head. “I’m gonna go hop in the shower.”

Wesley took his showers at night since he got so dirty at work and the auto grease would transfer to our sheets. I watched him walk to the bedroom and then disappear into the bathroom. I went to the kitchen and stared at the pan in the sink. I heard the shower start and I clenched my hands on the counter. I took a deep breath, smiled shyly, went to the bedroom, and took off all my clothes.

The bathroom door stuck and I had to push with a little force to open it. I was trying so hard to be quiet. I tiptoed to the shower and pulled back the curtain a little. Wesley had his back to me and was rinsing the shampoo out of his hair. I stepped over the side of the tub and Wesley turned around quickly.

“What—what are you doing?” he asked with a desirable grin.

I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. I wanted to give him a cool line but I couldn’t think of anything to say. “I…I wanted to take a shower too,” I answered pathetically, my whole body blushing.

Wesley took my hand and looked me over amorously. I closed my eyes and allowed my hands to wander all over his body. His skin was smooth; fleshy in some places and hard and angled in others. My body responded to the topographical exploration of all the corners and crevices of his figure. My fingers wandered downward and I began to frig him gently with both hands.

“That’s…gonna be really clean,” he whispered with a laugh, then grunted quietly. He took me in his hands and rubbed softly. I stepped closer to him, under the spray of water, and rested my forehead on his shoulder. Wesley kissed me, licked my lips, and pulled on me harder and faster. We stared into each other’s eyes silently, kissing intermittently, nearing climax. Wesley pulled me close, pressed against his stomach, and we came together, clinging to each other, exhausted.

“Aw man, that was the best shower ever!” Wesley said, walking around the bedroom completely naked while rubbing the towel over his head.

I climbed into bed and waited for Wesley. He jumped in and crawled on top of me. He touched and licked me all over and I clung to him for dear life. We were in bed by nine, exhausted by ten, and asleep by eleven.

MOM came over around noon. She wore blue jeans and a T-shirt and had her hair pulled back in a ponytail. She planned to drive to campus, but I told her that I was usually going to ride the bus to school, so she wanted to take the bus too. She was really excited and I couldn’t help but tease her.

“Oh, this brings back so many memories! Tor, you’re gonna love college. This is so much fun!”

“Mom, calm down,” I said quietly, glancing around. No one was looking at us, but I felt self-conscious. Mom always was kind of a spaz when she got excited, but it was also why we had so much fun together.

The orientation was boring and Mom and I skipped out of the campus tour. We sat outside and watched people and talked. I scheduled my classes and we went to the bookstore and got my books. I was surprised by how much the books cost and fortunate that Mom put the bill on her credit card. We got home a little after four and we sat and talked, waiting for Wesley to come home.

“You should join some clubs too. That’s a great way to make friends. I’m sure they have a history club or something. It’ll be good too because you can talk to others and see if you wanna major in education or if you wanna do straight history. I was in a nursing club at school and also the anthro club. Oh! Maybe you could join the newspaper too. I worked at the paper and it was so much fun!”
