Come
on draw something?” He ordered.

What?
I can't understand. David, I don't know how to draw,” I said
astonishingly.

Of
course you do. Please try, draw my face,”he urged.

I was stunned and confused,
but I obeyed. I opened the small case and pulled out a pencil and
grabbed the sketch book. I looked at David's face and wondered how I
would ever be capable of drawing it.

David..
I can't do this.. I..”

Please
do it for me.”He begged.

OK,
I'll try, although honestly I can't understand.”

I began to try to draw his
eyes and amazingly I did them perfectly, then his nose, his mouth,
his face, cheeks and hair. While I was drawing I couldn't stop
gasping, I couldn't believe it. I looked up at David and he smiled...

I
knew it. I knew you couldn't have forgotten that.” He
exclaimed.

But..
how? I...”

You
were very good in Art and you still are. That drawing is
magnificent.”

Oh
my God.” I felt so happy.

Certain
things can never be forgotten. You'll see Cassidy how many things you
can do. Art is one of them.”

We passed some more time
there, we talked and laughed together. I really enjoyed that
afternoon with him.

Cassidy
are you hungry?” He asked me some time later.

Well,
a little.”

Do
you want to go and eat something somewhere? I have still some time
before Kylie finishes.”

Well
that would be great but I'm a mess, I'm still wet?”

He laughed, he was so
handsome.

Don't
worry, it will surely dry up while we are on the motorbike. Come on
let's go.”

He helped me up and we left.
He took me to a small restaurant not very far from where we were. I
only had a salad. My stomach still couldn't accept heavy food but it
tasted fantastic probably because the company was great. We kept
looking at each other and smile. I was having the time of my life. It
was like a dream. Then we went home. Those 3 hours with him had
passed so quickly.

Thank
you David, I really had fun.”

I'm
glad. We'll do it another time if you want.”

Oh
yes, that would be great.”

I
have to go now, I still have to go home to get the car.”

I kept looking at him
wondering if I should kiss him or not. He was still on his motorbike.
I went near him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Thank
you.” I said softly.

He smiled and then put the
helmet on and started the engine. He waved at me and left. I stayed
there looking at him till he disappeared completely. I felt so happy.
I was in love. Now I was sure.

CHAPTER 14

I daydreamed while I cleaned
the house, I sang loudly while I cooked. Nothing seemed to bother me
today, I was over the moon. I couldn't stop thinking about that kiss
on my neck. Just thinking about it made my stomach contract. I was so
distracted that I didn't hear my mother opening the front door and
coming inside and when she called me I jumped out of my skin.

Oh
honey I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you.”

No
problem.” I said smiling.

You
seem really happy, something must have happened, or better say
someone must have been here,”she giving me a knowing look.

Oh..
it's not fair, I can't even keep a secret.” I said pretending
to be angry.

She smiled.

So,
aren't you going to tell me what happened?”

Well,
David came and took me out. Oh, mum I really had fun, we went on the
beach and then he took me to a restaurant for lunch. I'm so happy.”

Oh,
I see,” she said. She seemed worried again.

Mum,
I was thinking do you think I can take a look at the certificates I
have? Especially those of high school,” I asked then.

Why?”
She asked alarmed. She stared in my face. She had a strange
expression which I couldn't decipher.

Ahm...
I thought that maybe I should return to my studies. What do you
think? The more I think about it, the more I can't believe I studied
accounts. I took a look at a book of accounts today, and I couldn't
understand anything.”

For a moment, she didn't say
anything but then..

Well,
probably it isn't a bad idea.”She agreed.

You
know today I discovered that I'm really good in Art. David brought me
a sketch book and some colours, and I managed to do these. Take a
look.” I said while I grabbed the drawing book and showed it to
mum. She looked at the drawings that I had done especially those
portraying David, and I had done one portraying Kylie. When she saw
that of Kylie, a tear rolled down her cheek. I was stunned why was
she crying?”

Mum
are you OK?”

Yes
honey yes, these are beautiful. Oh my God, I can't believe you've
done them. You have always been good in Art.”

That's
the same thing David said. How come he knows? How long ago did I meet
him mum?” I asked.

Oh,
quite a long time honey. About nine years ago.” That answer
surprised me.

What
really?”

Yes.”

And
how did we meet? I mean he's older than me.. and...”

Honey
it's not important, for you it's as if you just got to know him. Let
met get you those certificates.”

She disappeared before I
could ask anything else. Nine years ago that meant I was 16 years
old. Where could I have met him?

The following day I got up
early, I put on a comfortable cycling shorts and a sleeveless
t-shirt. I brushed my hair and put on my trainers. Just at that
moment my mum came in. She scanned me from head to toe.

Cassidy
where are you going?”

For
a jog?” I replied as I tied my shoe lace.

What?
Are you going crazy or what? You can't do physical exercise.. you're
not ready for that?” She snapped.

 “
Mum,
I'm feeling OK and it was my Physiotherapist who suggested
this. I'm not going for a marathon just for a short jog. He said it
would help to strengthen my knee.”I retorted.

I
don't know. Are you sure you're OK. Maybe I should come with you.”

What?
Oh no mum, I won't be long. Please I have to start living again. I
appreciate that you're protective, and all but I'm not a baby..
please.”I insisted.

I'm
sorry.. you're right. OK. Go but be careful OK?”

OK
mum,” I replied.

I said bye and left the
house before mum could change her mind. I began to jog slowly,
initially, my knee hurt a little but then I got used to it and kept
going on a steady pace. I only jogged for about 7 minutes, and I was
already out of breath. My God, I was really out of shape. I had to
sit down on a bench and lean against its back. I tried to catch my
breath; I opened the bottle I had taken with me and drank. Just at
that moment I heard a deep masculine voice from behind me asking me
if I was OK. I was panting as I turned my head to see who that voice
belonged to. I gasped when my eyes met his. He had piercing blue eyes
that looked at me with concern. He was tall and had broad shoulders.
His arms were muscled, his stomach flat and defined. He wore a
stretched white T-shirt which hugged his perfect body. He looked like
a model or a film star. For a moment, I was lost looking at him.

Are
you sure you're OK?” he said again.

Am...
yeah.. I'm fine. It's just that it's the first time that I jog,”
I admitted.

He smiled and sat down
beside me.

I'm
Tyler,” he said giving me his hand which I promptly shook.

How
do you do? I'm Cassidy.” I replied.

Nice
name.” He said.

Thanks.
Have you been jogging for a long time?”

I
started last week. It helps me to heal. To forget my problems and
keep fit,” he said looking at me in the eyes.

Heal?”
I asked.

Yes,
I've been trough a lot lately.”

Well,
that makes two of us then.” I said.

What
happened to you?” He asked me.

For a moment, I remained
silent, I was not sure If I should tell personal things to a complete
stranger.

 “
Well,
I was in a coma after a very bad accident. I'm still recovering,”
I replied. Something in his eyes changed. His gaze had darkened and
saddened.

I'm
sorry,” He said before he stood up. “Do you think you'll
manage to jog some more. Maybe we could run together. In two, it's
better.”

OK,
we'll try but probably I 'll soon have to stop. My knee is not healed
yet.”

No
problem, we'll take it easy,” he said while he helped me up.

We jogged together and it
really felt better doing it with someone else rather than on my own.
He kept talking to me, and I was so distracted looking at his
beautiful face that I didn't notice we had jogged for more than ten
minutes. He stopped and smiled.

For
today you did enough Cassy.”

Cassy? No one had ever
called me that; I liked it.

You
don't have to overdo. You'll start increasing distance little by
little,” he added while I kept observing his features. He was
really handsome; his face was perfect.

Yeah,
I think you're right. In fact, that's the same thing my
Physiotherapist said.”

You
see,” he said with a smile.

Tyler,
do you run every day?”

Yes,
I do. Always at the same time. Why? Would you like to join me?”

I blushed a little when he
looked directly and deeply in my eyes...

Well,
if it's OK for you. Alone it's kind of boring and...”

Of
course it's OK. I'll be your personal trainer.” He said
jokingly.

He had a sexy smile, and I
liked the little sweet dimples that appeared on his face each time he
smiled.

What
do you do to earn a living?” I asked then.

I'm
the CEO of a hotel,” he replied. My jaw dropped he must very
rich then, one of those alpha guys. I looked better at him and in
fact, all his clothes seemed expensive.

Really?”
I managed to say.

Yeah.”
He looked at his watch and...

Although
I'll regret this, I have to go now. I hate to leave you like this,
but I'll be late for work.”

Oh
no problem,” I said trying to ignore my heart beat when his
hand touched my shoulder.
