I tried to hold my fingers in my ears but still it didn’t
block out his damn noise, I guessed it was a he as he sounded
male.

Fine you’re going to give me a fucking headache. Say what you
have to say, I am in battle after all.”

Ugh why did Azazel give me to a little rat like you? He is
just like you he said. Bastard lied. You’re infuriating. Well
before you die and I get arrested and scraped its best we work
together and get out of this mess. Each shot uses one half of your
energy, each shot thereafter will half it again and so on, this
means the bullets will be weaker until eventually you are drained
completely and the bullets drop out the end onto the floor. They
are made from your soul energy. At best only fire me once or twice
per battle.”

What is the point of firing a gun once or twice? You’re just a
two squirt gun that then turns into a nagging lump of whatever the
fuck you’re made from.” I yelled once more at the gun as another
Angel flew at me.

Tell me to transform now!” Yelled Reaper and so I did as a
huge dome shot up around me, made from rock I presumed.

So this angel was using an ability, rock if I was correct.
Tapping on the dome surrounding me it seemed pretty solid and I
couldn’t even see as no light could get in. I could hear two Angels
outside the rock shell talking, couldn’t hear exactly what they
were on about but water soon started to fill inside as my legs
began to get wet, they were planning to drown me.

Swing me retard!” Reaper shouted.

Not even in the mood to argue with this asshole weapon anymore
I swung him like my blade, wait a moment where was my
blade?

Rock shell exploding I dashed forth slicing through the two
angels, cutting them both in half. Only then was I able to see what
Reaper had done. He had merged with my blade creating some gigantic
sword like weapon. This sure did make cleaning up these angels
easy. Sword now longer than me it was light to wield, jet black in
colour, covered in skulls and chains.

All that was left now was the homo angel captain.

So are you going to fight me now as well?” I said smugly
towards him but he did reply.

I do not indulge in violence with sinners like
you.”

Ah so your basically a chicken not a pigeon.” I chuckled but
then some knob head began ringing in my head again.

Run you dumbass! He has called for support. A whole legion
will be here soon! He is buying time”

What’s a legion? We can take em can’t we?” I said
softly.

A legion is three thousand men or women, even vanguards. He
doesn’t look high ranked so it will most likely be a small regiment
from a legion, still that will be a good several hundred people. If
by some miracle you did defeat them they would definitely send
Vanguards down or even an Archangel if you managed to piss them off
that much.” Reaper stopped speaking as the skies of Limbo began to
fill with incoming bright gold beams.

It looked like a firework display they were that many of them,
now it was time to run but how was I meant to escape several
hundred incoming angels. Ugh this wasn’t going to be easy but as I
turned to leg it that homo bastard was already giving chance.
Didn’t want to fight me before but would gladly do so now that you
have several hundred backing you. Pathetic prick.

Chapter fourteen: Flee Limbo

Homo angel was not for letting me escape no matter how fast I
ran, he was faster and barely breaking a sweat. Kind of unfair
since he had great big fucking wings, how was I meant to compete
with that? I knew the shores of Limbo were not too far away and
that a ship would be waiting for me to arrive but was I even going
to make it there.

Every step I took forward this cunt was forcing me two steps
back as he shot bright golden arrows at me from his angelic
feathery bow. Reaper told me that if I was to be hit by one it was
likely to contain poison or something nasty. This made dodging them
or slicing through them with Reaper that much more
crucial.

Reaper, can you tell how much soul energy I have
left?”

No, not really Azazel. If you are planning to use another
buckshot it would most likely drain you. You have been swatting
away this assholes arrows for some time now so you’re growing more
fatigued. Those beams are getting closer too. We are lucky they are
taking time to get here, it must be because they are locked on to
that guys tracking device on his arm.”

I am going to try something so just roll with it. Transform
back to the Reaper gun.”

No sooner than I said transform my blade was back and so was
the gun.

Homo angel became weary once he saw the gun as he started to
fly a little more cautiously. That’s what I wanted you prick. Now I
could advance a little more forward. Still he took shots at my head
with those pretty boy arrows. Damn I’m so glad I never got into
Heaven.

If Reaper used my soul to fuel its rounds before firing then
maybe I could merge my demon ability and use less energy. I had
practised this certain technique on a group of Snagler’s before,
sure I didn’t have a gun back then and had to fire shots off with
the blade but with a gun it would just make the technique
easier.

All I needed to do was charge up electric in my body, done
that. Transfer the electric to the gun, done that which made the
gun look even more epic. Now all that was left to do was fire.
Pulling the trigger and aiming at the angel in the sky four rounds
of electric beams shot off, every single one of them missing as the
angel rolled out of the way.

Leaving me quite exhausted shooting that off I was ready to
initiate phase two. Just like that time with the worm I called this
controlled electricity. Normally I use to shoot huge beams into the
sky and then hold them there. This was when I noticed that even
after the electric left my body it could be controlled. Homo angel
didn’t realise that the four balls of lightning were dancing behind
him. Now it was time to crucify the bitch!

Using my empty hand that once held my blade I beckoned the
beams of electricity back to me making them pierce clean through
the angel.

Transform!” I yelled as Reaper once more merged with my
blade.

Blade in hand I jumped high into the air, higher than any
normal person could before slicing clean through the
angel.

I had done it. Defeated a shitty captain of some crappy angel
squad and as he began to dissipate into tiny specs of light the
many golden beams began to halt their progress. Reaper told me that
without a signal to latch on to they wouldn’t be able to connect
for several minutes. Still this meant I ran seeing as I was
literally out of energy. No energy meant easy death.

Racing across Limbo It took a while before I could finally see
what was known as the shores of Limbo. Behind me hundreds of beams
began to rain down where I was once were, angels after my head.
Like fuck they were taking me, I didn’t even kill any of them,
which pissed me off. Looking forward and concentrating on nothing
else as Angels began to follow my tracks the shores of Limbo were a
wondrous sight to behold yet deadly at the same time. The sands of
Limbo were basically flying off the edge into nothingness, well
into the darkness below. Just like elder Azazel promised though,
there was indeed a ship waiting. Hooked deep into the sands with
gigantic steel rods it was floating somewhat in the sky, although I
wasn’t surprised.

Half wood the rest of it was like a blimp. It was technically
an airship with a vintage wooden ship deck and hull underneath. My
jaw dropped when I saw how awesome it looked although what was on
deck didn’t look to awesome. Manned quite literally by the dead as
ghosts were manning rigging and swabbing the deck.

Still it was my one lifeline to getting away from the angels
that were only several hundred meters behind me. Out of breath with
sides hurting I pushed on until I arrived at one of the massive
steel rods planted deep into the sand. Clambering up it I began to
run across the black rope that attached the rod to the ship, being
careful not to lose balance as underneath me was nothing, quite
literally nothing. The sand below that seemed to slip of an
edgeless map disappeared into emptiness.

Hopping the wooden rails of the ship I keeled over breathless,
Ash coin in hand.

Where is Kharon? Azazel told me to give this coin to him for
safe passage to get into Hell.” I screamed as loud as I
could.

I am Kharon.” Said a voice that came from below the ships
wooden steps.

All of the ghosts began to stand to attention and stop what
they were doing, saluting as step by step a figure began to appear
from beneath the ship, a fancy stairway carved into the middle of
the huge airship.

You speak Azazel’s name as if you knew him. If you have but
one single coin at hand we shall ferry you into Hell.” Said the
cloaked figure.

I almost crapped myself looking at this monster. Clearly he
was once human but not anymore he was literally bones. A towering
eight foot high skeleton dressed in a thick black cloak. This
fucker looked more like a grim reaper than a ferryman.

I need to get out of here quickly, hundreds of angels are
right behind me, here take the coin.” I threw the coin at the
skeleton figure who caught it and began to bite down on
it.

Tis real. Lads prepare to disembark, man the cannons and shoot
anything bigger than a fucking budgie. We will get you to Hell lad,
this ship is practically angel proof. Go ahead and admire your new
destination because where you’re going is nothing short of
paradise.” Kharon tossed the ash coin onto the deck which I now
noticed was filled with coins.

Shortly after I arrived the rods anchoring the ship to the
shores of Limbo were ripped out as Angels began to appear. Hundreds
of them. As they appeared huge cannon turrets began to rise from
the deck of the ship, giant rail guns blazing bullets through the
air. The ship must have had thirty or so ghosts manning huge
cannons but they shot the fuck out the angels, enough to make them
retreat. Kharon told me they were nothing but lousy grunts chasing
there next promotion, basically the lowest form of
angel.

Finally I was free, free of Limbo and on my way to Hell. Time
to see my new destination as I approached the front of the airship,
the airship beginning to descend slowly through the shroud of
blackness. Minutes passed by before we passed through the abyss and
there it was in all its glory, the first floor of Hell.

Oh I was going to have so much fun down there but for now my
only thoughts were of elder Az. He was dead and now I had time to
mourn.

Chapter fifteen: Raphael

Whilst Reaper hurtled down towards Limbo with angels in hot
pursuit elder Azazel was trapped within a somewhat comfortable
cell. Inside the largest and toughest angelic prison situated on
floor nine of Heaven elder Azazel is sat within, resting on the
edge of a red quilted single bed. The room made of special
materials combined with demon proof curse marks made it unbreakable
for anyone including angels

Several hundred thousand prisoners are within the sprawling
mass of cells, each person with their own individual cell.
‘Devinition’ is what the angels called the prison. It was one of
seven and each prison was the size of a city.

Inside the maximum security prison it was designed in order of
sinners. The more hardened sinners were placed on death row like
elder Azazel who had for some reason voluntarily given himself up
several months ago. Being destructive in Hell earned you sin
reputation, this worked like a bounty. Gods eye was one of the only
things to judge sins.

Basically put elder Azazel had a total worth of nine billion
angelic coins, this was the total worth of his sins and reflected
his strength as a floor ten demon king although his wasn’t the
highest. Still anything over three hundred million angelic coins
got you a one way ticket onto death row. In rare circumstances an
archangel or even one of the many gods could offer the prisoners a
lifeline, if they deemed it beneficial they could offer you to work
for them. People that accepted these requests were dubbed dark
angels. Heaven had a sin system but there were just as many dark
angels as angels so Hell developed a system too. They placed ash
currency on their heads.

Nothing but a glass wall to look out into the endless streets
of cells Azazel began to reflect on events. He knew that Reaper by
now should have found its way to younger Azazel.

I really do detest this feeling; the feeling like my body is
crawling with worms. Damn angel string. Reaper, I really hope you
didn’t attract too much attention escaping. If angels go after
younger Azazel it will be really troublesome.”

Talking to yourself Azazel? King of nothing!” Said a smug
arrogant voice from in front of the glass cell.

It took all I had to remain seated on the bed. I wanted to
kill that smug git with my bare hands. Raphael, oh how long has it
been since I beat you within an inch of death. Now you stand there
mocking me because thanks to you I will die, you’re nothing but a
pathetic vulture that picked the bones Michael handed
you.
