"Why are there so many more hours in this day than all the others?" Brooke asked once again.

Bev's disembodied voice wafted into Brooke's cubicle. "Hang in there baby, Wednesday's coming."

"Tomorrow is going to be worse and Wednesday will be torture!" Brooke put her head on the desk and groaned pitifully.

Bev stood up and peered over the divider. "It'll get here I swear. Wednesday has never let me down before." Bev joked.

"It's never coming. I'm going to die from anticipation, I just know it." Brooke whined.

The older woman snickered. "What do your parents make of all this?"

"Are you kidding? They don't know anything about it. They want Cayden all to themselves."

"So you're just going to disappear Wednesday night and hope they don't notice?" Bev asked with a wink.

"Oh shit. I didn't think about that. I can tell them I'm having dinner with some friends."

"That'll work, but they will want to know who with. Trust me, I'm a mother." Bev noted.

"That's easy, Wade and Jodie." The blonde smiled, proud of her answer.

"So, do you know what will be served? How about what you're going to wear?"

"No idea about the food, but apparently Wade's a great cook, so I'm not worried. What to wear though, I'm not sure. Its been so hot and humid lately that I can't even think about too many clothes."

"That'll work in your favor." Bev laughed.

"Hey, there will be other people there." Brooke laughed back

"Yeah, but that won't stop Cayden from looking, will it?"

"Hmm, I suppose not." Brooke smiled evilly. "I may have just the thing to wear."
And the perfect bra too.

Cayden slept like a log and felt refreshed and ready for anything. It scared her, because usually when she felt like this,
anything
did happen. The day started off iffy, as she set the alarm off while opening the store, but after that it was relatively easy. She got a delivery from the supplier, everything was there and in one piece, customers came in steadily with no altercations, and no one peed on the floor.

Cayden was looking forward to Wednesday night with less trepidation and more excitement than she expected. She really couldn't wait to see Brooke, and having the buffers of Wade and Jodie gave her a good, safe feeling about the whole thing. She wasn't ready to be alone with Brooke yet. Brooke made her feel things that frightened and confused her. Her body reacted to the blonde's presence without her permission and she had no control over her hormones. Just recalling the kisses caused her nipples to perk up and that was far more aroused than she could ever remember being from just a kiss. No, the
memory
of a kiss. It was intense... Brooke was intense and this was all too new for the tall shop keeper.

Mrs. Hewitt put the finishing touches on dinner as she waited for her daughter to get home. Mr. Hewitt sat in his favorite chair, his mouth watering as it did every night at this time. "We're not waiting on the Queen, Harriet, I'm hungry." he complained.

"Just you hush up, we go through this every day. Brooke is part of this house now and we don't sit down to dinner until the whole family is ready." She picked a slice of cucumber out of the salad and brought it to him.

"Brooke told you enough times not to stand on ceremony for her. She doesn't care if I eat without her or not." He took the cucumber and ate it quickly. "Ooo, yeah, now I'm full." he said sarcastically.

"Hold your horses, she should be home any minute." Harriet smiled haughtily as Brooke put her key in the door.

The sound of Fred's toenails tip-tapping on the hardwood floors instantly comforted Brooke and she squatted down to meet the dog as she closed the door. Picking him up and hugging him to her, she accepted his excited little kisses. "Oh, Freddy, you have no idea how good it feels to be home." She stopped and sniffed the air. "Ooo, hey, something smells divine!" She followed her nose into the kitchen. "Hi, ma, hi, dad, what a long day." She sighed and stuck her face in a pot. "Beef stew? Cool!"

Mrs. Hewitt smiled proudly, it was Brooke's favorite. "I haven't made it in a long time. I knew you'd like it. Go get washed and we'll eat."

"Thank god." Bert mumbled.

Brooke turned to the living room. "Hungry daddy?" At his eye roll, she detoured and walked towards him, kissing him on the head. "You know you can start without me."

"Well, tell that to Emily Post in there." He groused.

"Mom, how many times do I have to tell you not to starve daddy?"

"Brooke, what if you suddenly bring company home for dinner, how would it look?" Harriet asked with a hand on her hip.

"It would look a hell of a lot better than that." she pointed to her frowning father, his arms folded across his chest in some sort of pout.

"Thank you!" Bert said, feeling protected.

Brooke washed up and changed out of her work clothes. When she returned, Fred was waiting expectantly by her chair, the smell of beef taunting him all day. She sat down and glanced at her father, and with a nod, they both reached for the salad dressings. By the time Harriet turned around, they were halfway through with their salad.

"Well if you were that hungry you should have said something."

Bert's eyes widened and he looked plaintively at Brooke. "Do you see?"

Brooke snickered and made happy noises as a big bowl of stew was placed beside her. "So, I'm going out to dinner Wednesday night, you can feed daddy on time."

"Oh? Where? Who with?" Harriet asked.

"Just some friends, Jodie and Wade, at Wade's house." Brooke answered, never looking up from her plate.

"Wade and Jodie? I don't think I ever heard you mention them before." Harriet said with a furrowed brow.

"Oh, yeah, well..." Brooke busied herself breaking apart a cube of beef for Fred.

"Harriet, let the girl go in peace."

"I just want to know who they are, is that a crime? Wait... didn't you say Jodie was Cayden's friend? Yes! You did! Will Cayden be there?"

Brooke grimaced, lying wasn't her strong suit. "Yes, Cayden will be there." she admitted reluctantly.

"How nice! So you called her back after all?"

"Well yeah. We decided to have a little ... dinner party." She smiled at her ingenuity.

"That sounds very nice. What do Wade and Jodie do? Where does Wade live?"

"Harriet, leave her be already." Bert warned.

"I'm just asking."

"Wade is in security, and Jodie.. she's in the restaurant business. She goes to school too." Brooke replied carefully.

"How wonderful! Where did you say Wade lives again?" Harriet asked innocently.

Brooke rolled her eyes. "He's Cayden's room mate."

"Really? Is this some sort of double date?"

"No, ma. Its a simple dinner party." Brooke said as boredly as she could.

"Okay, well, you have fun then. " she winked. "And don't forget to remind Cayden she has an open invitation here."

"How can I forget." Brooke commented, earning her a grin from her father.

Cayden groaned languidly as Brooke's nails dug into her scalp. The tall brunette sucked Brooke's nipple slowly, washing her tongue around it lazily, pressing her face deeply into the blonde's soft breast. Cayden teased the other nipple with her fingers, pulling and squeezing the hard flesh, as Brooke squirmed beneath her.

Brooke dragged her nails down Cayden's arms, then up her bare back to return to her head, and tried to push the shop keeper lower. "Cayden," She begged. "Cayden... please... Cayden..."

"CAYDEN!"

The tall woman bolted upright in her bed, eyes wide open and her heart beating furiously. "Oh my god..." she mumbled in disbelief.

"Holy cow, I've been trying to wake you up forever." Wade complained.

"Wow." Cayden scrubbed her hands over her face and threw off the covers.

"Comatose much Cayden?"

"They're taunting me in my sleep now too!" She cried in dismay.

"Huh?"

"Brooke's breasts! They've crept into my subconscious now!" She closed her eyes and whined.

Wade chuckled. "Cayden had a dirty dream" he sang.

"It wasn't
dirty
." she corrected.

"Oh pardon me, Cayden had a titty dream." he sang again.

"Wade! This never happened to me before! I mean, yeah, I've dreamt about things like this, but wow.. it was so
real
! I can still feel it.. feel them in my..." Cayden shook her head and growled, sitting on the side of the bed. "This is so bad."

Wade smiled and sat down next to her. "It depends on how you look at it."

"It's bad." Cayden confirmed. "I don't want to be dreaming those things! How will In look at her? I'm trying not to think of sex with Brooke, and here I am dreaming up...
that
!"

Wade rubbed his friend's back, he was glad she was being so open with him for a change. "You'll look at her like you always do. Cayd, what's wrong with thinking about sex? Brooke sure is sexy." He said, trying to ease her distress.

"I don't want it to be in the front of my mind every time I see her. I don't want to rush into sex with her. I don't even know if I want to get serious with her yet!"

Wade laughed. "Oh, Cayden, don't you have a clue?"

"About what?" she asked defensively.

"You don't have any control over it. For those of us on the outside looking in, its already serious. How much so and how quickly it gets there is up to you, but Cayd, don't fight it so hard."

Cayden sat silently for a few second, shook her head, grimaced, then stood up. "I'm going to take a shower."

Wade watched her go.
Maybe I shouldn't have told her.

Brooke stood under the cool shower spray with a shit-eating grin on her face. She replayed the last few minutes of her dream over and over in her head. She love these dreams. In them, Cayden was a fantastically sweet lover. These dreams were graphic and vivid... Technicolor images of what was to come, and Brooke could hardly wait.

"Hey, so you think Brooke's going to wear pants or shorts?" Cayden asked, wondering what she herself was going to wear.

Jodie stopped playing with the doggie toy and came over to her friend. "Jeans. Tight, faded, worn out old jeans." she replied dreamily.

Cayden frowned. "I didn't ask you what you
want
her to wear, Jo."

"Well, definitely not a skirt. I don't see her in a dress or skirt." Jodie thought hard. "Not even a skirt... or culottes."

"Culottes? Jo!" Cayden started laughing loudly.
